Comment:

I took this class as a concurrent high school / community college student. Although I managed to get an A, it was moreso due to my background information of the Japanese language. I took Japanese I and II with Sensei Kim, and I felt that the day to day routine was monotonous. She needs to include more conversation and reading rather than bookwork.

Many said this teacher was helpful & easy but i disagree.I spent most of my time studying outside of class.Only taught what was in the book & didn't explain or go in to detail at all.If you had a question she would honestly try to answer it but would only confused you further.I guess she was easy on the grading.She is an ok teacher but not the best

Been flaky the past two spring semesters ('05 & '06) where a substitute needed to finish the last 9 weeks of course. Only teaches from book. Japanese 3rd & 4th semester Classes have been very poorly taught by Kim-sensei & subs the past two semesters. Hopefully they'll get a more committed professor in the class next time!

Great teacher. Friendly and really wants to help her students. Course book was poor, but she does her best to make up for it. Lax grading policy, accepts latework, easy grader. Greatly improved my nihongo.
