Uses intimidation instead of teaching,completely unapproachable. I am a piano major in her studio and am anxious before lessons. You need to go into a lesson with the mind set that she will tell you your a terrible pianist or you will cry when she rips you apart after practicing your fingers off all week.

Dr. B is a totally amazing professor. She is tough, but how else are you going to improve yourself. She is very encouarging if you work hard, and she most definitly has a sence of humor. She respects you so long as you practice, and show improvement at each lesson.

Suck it up - you're a music major and piano is needed in the music field. It's not an easy instrument by any means. But Dr. B takes the time to explain things if you would actually TRY to learn them. I think she's excellent.
