Dr Penner has a style I understand. She writes down everything while she explains it. If you write down everything SHE writes down and study it, you will have no problems with this class. Answered all my questions, prompt with e-mail reply. I have signed up for another finance class.

I looked forward to this class because this was the core class for my major. I knew a little bit of stocks/bonds and financing before i came into the classroom, this class was way too hard for what it is and the teacher was very rude and is not very apt about giving help of anykind.

She's hard, but she gives you enough to work with to make an a in the class. When she says you need to study finance a little every day, she means it. People whine about her, but their problem is laziness. She's actually an excellent professor.
