if you have to take Math 105 do yourself a favor and take it with Nancy. She is seriously the sweetest, most caring, and hilarious professor. You can tell she's really passionate about Math and she is just such a great teacher.

i have no words for nancy by far one of my favorite professors. she was like this sweet little old lady w a funny laugh and would crack jokes even if the class was dead. she made stats so easy i loved it. definitely go to lectures and ask her for help when you need it.

I was an international student at CSUC an found that she was a very dedicated lecturer that always welcome students to see her. Her explanation was very concise and easy to understand. She is one of a kind

The greatest Stats professor to have ever taught at this university. Really she's the best! Goes super slow, willing to work with you. She's always in her office! You can actually understand what's being taught. Stats majors, you're losing the greatest prof pretty soon. She's already retired and on her way out.

This class is not the easiest, but she made it as easy as she could and offers to help during office hours which you should take advantage of! She doesn't say it, but the homework counts for a big portion of your grade and if you go to office hours she will almost give you the answers...

She is an amazing and caring teacher. The pace of the class is slow and easy, which helpful for me because I am terrible at math. There is a lot of online homework but she goes over everything in class and shows you how to use the calculator. She gives out practice tests a couple weeks in advance and does in class review the day before.

Nancy is very caring! Always there with a smile and a funny laugh! She makes everything understandable even with tough topics. She has group work every week on Fridays to make sure we understand what we lectured on during the week, which was very helpful. She always takes a few days to prep for exams where you go over tests.

Comment:

Nancy is a very fun/ up-lifting person to be around, she keeps the class entertained. There were only 3 exams, she gives you practice exams that are practically identical to the actual exams. Homework done online. Grading is very clear. No attendance taken, however if you don't come you may not understand material. No question is a dumb one.

If you miss a class then good luck catching up. You can meet with her during office hours, she'll be glad to assist you with anything. Her class is quite enjoyable with her quirks in speech, she tries to explain everything as simply as possible. Best stats teacher I know. You will need to purchase an online course ($99) which is the only downside.

Suppose to be a very difficult class. She gave out the answers to use to check against your homework answers. Exams were take home. 3 of them. Overall, I didn't learn much, but I got a great grade. Its her last time teaching this class.

The amount of math professors that you meet that aren't rude and socially awkward and condescending are rare but that is NOT Nancy. She actually cares for your learning & goes around making sure everyone understands the material without acting like any question is too dumb. I'm horrible at math but Nancy's helpfulness made it less of a nightmare.

Nancy is super helpful in class! She walks around to every group to see if you need help with the assignments. Loves to crack jokes. Take her if you like teachers that treat you like an adult! Math 105 was a breeze! Most of the HW is done online, weekly worksheet in class. Tests are easy

Dr. Carter is a great teacher. She made Probability Theory very easy to understand. There is a lot of HW, but it helps to re-enforce learning concepts. three tests worth 21%(directly from hw questions), hw is 16%, and the final is 21%(2 parts: non-cumulative & cumulative). the cumulative part isn't mandatory, but can replace a bad test score.

Disappointingly easy. Could have learned more but every test is take home and you don't even need to do math, she gives you excel tools to do all the problems. The only thing you learn is which tools to use and how to enter data, you can even use the tools on the tes.t.

I love Nancy, and I never say that about any other professor. She is so awesome, sweet and funny. She want you to get 100% on your assignments. She answers all questions, there are solution available for you to check. Take her class, and I'm sure you will enjoy it.

This stats class was EASY! The professor was extremely helpful and went around and even checked answers for the weekly assignments. This class was only one day a week which was nice. The professor was a little crazy but made you pay attention in class!
