Comment:

I had her for lecture and lab. She's a very sweet woman, one of the few professors who is more focused on teaching than research (I don't even think she does research anymore). She has very long tests but they're manageable if you study, and she drops your lowest test grade. For lab, she's extremely helpful. I wish I could have taken her for 122!

Dr. Hinds was the nicest professor, but her tests were ridiculously hard. Her lectures were fun and she would bring experiments to class. She makes you feel like you understand it and then when you take the test, it is like another language.

Dr. Hinds could be a very good professor. However, her tests are nearly impossible to finish.If you spend your whole life studying, you'll pass. I went to visit Dr. Hinds numerous times because I was unavailable for study sessions due to having a job, and she said herself Chemistry required more attention than you can give it if you have a job.

Dr. Hinds is very straightforward. She can teach the subject matter on a level that is understandable. Her lab quizzes are easy if you study for them. Her midterm is very tough though. The practical is timed ridiculously which sucks. But overall a great teacher.

She is the best chemistry teacher you can ever hope to have! She shows you the applications of chemistry, not just the basic information, and she makes it very interesting. She's also extremely helpful if you have questions about anything and she is a really nice person as well. She's a great lab teacher too. Take her!!

I loved this teacher. She is great. I never thought that I could make an A in chemistry. It is possible. She gives homework like every other week and a review session before every test. Also gives extra credit. She is so sweet and very helpful outside of class.

Dr. Hinds is such a sweet lady, you can't help but love her. Some questions on her tests I feel like come out of nowhere and they are MUCH too long. When I first heard multiple choice I thought it would help me out, but that's pretty much all I miss on tests. She does give extra credit though and is more than willing to help you outside of class.

I had Dr. Hinds for 121 and 122! She is the BEST general chem. teacher! She is sweet and friendly, she really knows her stuff and makes sure you know it! Her tests can be rather hard, but not impossible to pass. I made over 100% on most of them, so stop whining, people! Blackboard work is time consuming, but easy. She is excellent! Super A+++!

this lady is HARD!! her tests are EXTREMELY to long and i never finished one of them...you have blackboard homework every week and its hard too! most of the averages are like 4 out of 10. she does give extra credit on the exams, but she couldn't even work 1 of the problems 1 time! if you want a good grade, don't take her. nice person, but sucky pro

A great teacher who knows the limits of her students. All the negative comments are just wining. She gives extra credit every week, a study session before every test (polls class 4 best time), and gives 3 or 4 study sessions before every final. She is also in her office and ready to help at any time. U have to work to fail this teacher.

I love Dr. Hinds. I hadn't had Chemistry in nearly 10 years, & Dr. Hinds made it so fun & easy to understand. Her tests are difficult, but I made an A in 121 & a B 122. You just have to work for it!!! Plus, no ChemSkill Builder!!!

She sucks. She is an ok teacher and is very nice but she is NOT fair by any means. She is so rediculous and her study guides don in clude some material that are on her tests. Do not take Hinds.
