Such a sweet lady. Easily approachable and will answer any questions about essays. She gives a lot of time in class to work on essays and get help from peers and herself.

Professor Nard is a wonderful professor. She made her lectures very interesting and fun. Her grading criteria was always made clear. In addition, she cared a lot about her students, and made sure we understood everything being taught. I always looked forward going to her class. Three essays, mid-term, & no final. I would definitely take her again.

Kitty Nard is one of the kindest professors at CSUN! Day in and day out, she shows how much she cares about her students through the thoroughness of her lectures and the way she presents the material. Readings aren't hard and her papers are not hard. She just wants to make sure you've read and somewhat formulate a logical argument. Take her!!!

Entire class sessions are taught through group presentations. She's nice enough, but has a limited view on subjects and tends to be unwelcoming to anything else. She is too preachy in her lectures which can make you tune out. Her grading criteria is not clear and attendance is way too strict, almost petty if you're four minutes late she takes note.

She is a cool teacher and really cares about her students. You use the book everyday and you talk about the literature in class the next day so be prepared. She is funny and it's an overall enjoyable class. Make sure you write essays in advance because they are important for your grade. Also replies very quickly via email if you have any questions

Uses the textbook everyday and before class the reading had to be done before as she discussed it during class. Readings were interesting. Had two in class essays one for the final. And two more outside of class. There was a group project towards the end of the semester. She takes attendance every class meeting and is big in student discussions.

I took her class (The Short Story -Eng 364) as an upper division GE. I personally enjoyed the class. There were 2 short papers, a 10 minute presentation (which you can do with a partner), about 4 online group discussions, and 2 interesting short stories to read every week.

For a GE class, this was an incredibly hard class. Nice Professor, but is an extremely hard grader. If English isn't your strong suit, you will struggle in this class.

Professor Kitty Nard is the best English professor I have EVER had. She really cares about her students and although she won't simply hand you an A she will tell you the steps you need to take to get there. English is not my strongest subject simply because writing papers isn't really my strong-suit, but I received an A with her tips!

Kitty is nice and funny. 4 essays - 2 take home 2 in class, Moodle posts, presentation, and participation. Grades tough for take home essays, but gives a good feedback. Takes a while to grade them. Rubric is clear. Makes you do a self-evaluation first on your essays. You will read a lot of poems and stories, but only write about a few pieces.

She's a really nice and fun teacher! The only homework you'll have is reading and an occasional moodle post but those are really easy. Not too many essays and the essay requirements aren't too bad, easier than other classes I think. And one presentation with or without a partner but this is easy too.

Kitty is an amazing teacher. She definitely cares if you pass or not, and your actual writing progression. There are 3 essays and moodle posts- this is why the book is needed to quote so just rent it or chegg. Also, expect to work in groups during class and do brief group presentations. It's an easy A if you come to class and turn in everything .
