Hard teacher, YES. Class went from 25 to 5 by end of term. I was a horrible student with classes outside my major(geog), but, after taking her class and implementing her notebook standards, I ended up with mostly A's and few B's in my last 2 yrs of school. If you let her, she'll transform you from a lazy student. Probably hot back in the day.

I took her English 2 class after getting the top grade in my honors English 1 class. I squeaked by with a C. I did all the work, attended every class and tried to participate in discussions held. If she doesnt like your opinion on papers, she will find a reason to count off. She does not clarify assignments and is very rude.

The hardest teacher I have had, not helpful, tends to respond rudely to students if she doesn't like your response. Class began with about 30, only 5 left the day before drop date. I love English and it has always been my best subject, and had to drop the class. Assigns a LOT of work with very rigid guidelines. Couldn't seem to please this teacher.

I understand how one can be upset with people being lazy, but i cant understand a university reject teacher trying to prove herself worthy of teaching at harvard promoting bias. save yourself the time and effort and just take someone worthy of teaching

ABSOLUTE WORST TEACHER EVER! I'm a straight A student and she didn't believe in giving A's just because she didn't get one in her first college english course! She's rude, unhelpful, and very inconsiderate. Our class started out full and ended with only 4 people! Only 2 passed and I'm the only one that got a B. AVOID HER!!!!

We started out with 33,by the end only 2 were left it was Survivor,Roediger style!I thought she was hilarious,making fun of idiots thinking they could just pass the class by showing up.If you participated in class,went to her office to talk about problems,she would help you out. DONT CHEW GUM: A teacher that asks for your opinion and thoughts, but also tells you when your own personal thoughts and opinions are wrong, according to her. If she doesnt like your writings, she will count off because of her difference of opinion. I was excited about school until I got in her class. I recommend to not register in her class.

Augh. Very, very frustrating professor. She talks down to the class like she's talking to 3rd graders, and she wastes time repeating over-simple instructions. She is overly critical, in a very unhelpful way. She doesn't tell you how to improve, she just tells you what's wrong. Last time I checked, she had the highed drop rate in the English dept because no one can stand being in her class. And it is true, she expects you to take off work to meet with her. She did it to me a few times. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS.

Yes she is very difficult, but she is willing to help you. I would go to her office hours and talk with her about my papers, and she was more than willing to help me perfect my papers. She gives daily quizzes that are tough, but if you read all the assignments, you will pass. DO NOT take her if you want to slack off, DO take her if you want to become a better writer!
