Midterms:VERY confusing. Short quizzes:easy if you read, they're heavily used. Extra credit: DO ALL OF THEM. The lectures and the readings are long and dry, but she puts it in simpler form in order to understand. Unfortunately the midterms are far from understandable.I would never take her class again

Her tests were confusing and a lot of the answers for the exams were biased towards liberal viewpoints. So in other words, if you do not share her opinion...your answer is most likely wrong. Also, she kept misgrading my exams/extra credit. DOUBLE CHECK YOUR GRADES. I would've lost about 19 points if I didn't bring the issue up to her.

Nice, knowledgeable woman.we watched a lot of movies, not much lecture-I wish she lectured more.Most info is from the book, long and boring.5 page papers, lots of extra credit options (5 par. essays) she DOES care about the students, she just teaches like she does at UCSD so it is a VERY HARD class.Pass/fail if you can so it doesn't hurt your GPA!!

I thought Nancy was a wonderful teacher. She really knows what she is talking about when it comes to politics. She made politics more interesting to learn, because she shows so much energy when she lectures. I like how she gave her own imput on political issues. I feel for her. Think she's swamped herself with an overload of classes to teach. Guest speakers got monotonous after a while. Library assignment felt like forced high school work - by now, it seems the average student ought to be able to navigate through a couple of five page research papers without brushing up on library research skills.

the whole class is guest speakers, she only lectured 3 times & when she did my notes looked like someone threw up on it, and im a great note taker.She teaches at SDSU and its obvious were not on her priority list. she never lectured about any of the tests. stupid work, stupid books, stupid class.

Liked politics before, but not after this class. Too difficult of a class, 2/3 of the class dropped. Remaining 1/3 worked their butt off and no one got an A!! She will lower your GPA a lot!!!

i totally agree with the people before me!! her class is way confusing and difficult as well. she expects us to know every little detail for the tests. you pick your grade at the beginning of the course but it is impossible to achieve what you want!
