The material isn't that hard. Read the textbook before lectures (she might quiz you on it). She loves the plant part of the course. She really works with the SI's so make sure you go to those sessions. She nit picks when she grades exams. And don't expect your exam grade back for at least 4 weeks, probably more.

Personally, I'm not a fan of her teaching style. Very theatrical and hard to follow. Gives many pop quizzes and that day's material is fair game for the quizzes, so you're forced to read ahead.

Such an amazing woman and I would happily take many more classes with her! She's very intelligent and passionate about her main career focuses in biology and it's inspiring. Her lectures are never boring, she brings snacks sometimes and her adorable dog! A little disorganized sometimes and you often don't know lab grades, but she's great anyway.

Doesn't clearly display your grades along the semester, so while you might be anticipating an easy A or A- based on the exams and quizzes you took, the scores from the lousy group projects and reading assignments she gives are seemingly low enough to make you fail. And since you do not get to see those results, you cannot challenge your grade.

very helpful when i went during her office hours. she comes off a bit wild and crazy but she is very helpful in relaying the information. i would definitely take another class with her. one of the best in the department.

She was very energetic for a morning class and gave good notes. She was caring and made sure we learned the material. We were also allowed to have input on our exam questions.
