I really don't like being negative but she does not teach... its all online commenting on d2l about random stuff and doing iLearn. We don't even practice speaking in class. Her Spanish isn't even that great. So in the past 4 weeks she went over two conjugations (with maybe 1 or two examples) which took all of 5 minutes and we now have a test.

She is an awesome teacher to say the least. So her lecture isn't what some ppl need. She has office hrs and if you go she helps you a lot. She goes step by step. She gives you so much extra credit. Even just to show up. The work oad is a lot, but you have three weeks per chapter. Most ppl wait to long to finish and they just can't finish it.

Whitman cares about her students, she is very accessible and always willing to help. Just do your work and you should be OK. She is also very good at giving advice on higher education, so use her as a resource.

Expect to be self-taught. She didn't spend much time with grammar and I think it's because 95% of the class were spanish speakers and didn't pay much attention to it anyway; she often tells you to find a reference instead of explaining it to you herself. I do like her but I didn't get much out of the glass with respect to language and grammar

Mrs. Whitman is really nice, but she's not a great teacher. She gives us online homework on a chapter, but during class we never discuss it, and we never review, so when we get the test, we're not prepared. It's an easy A if you do essays and presentations but don't expect to learn or understand the material. I learned a lot more with Mrs. McGill.

Overall she was a pretty good teacher. I felt like she didnt really teach that much, which was kind of disappointing considering I really wanted to improve my spanish. It wasnt much better than any high school class I've taken. She is nice, the tests arent extremely hard and she does want you to succeed.

Great teacher! Loved her class lots of fun she is incredibly fluent in spanish i expected something less but i was wrong. Class is fast paced so be ready over the course of a week be ready to go through chapters like if they were butter! 3 midterms and final. pay attention study and you will surely pass
