She's very nice and a lot of fun, but she talks down to you like you're 5 and there are grammar exercises that, if you graduated middle school, you shouldn't need!!! HOWEVER, after reading some of the other student papers in MethTheory, I can understand why! It's an intro-level, required psych class, and everyone thinks psych's easy, so...

Dr. Marmorstein is a fantastic professor and one of the nicest ones in the Psych. department. Knows exactly what she is talking about. I went to Japan with her as part of the class and she was extremely nice and made the class interesting/easy. BTW- Method and Theory is SUPPOSED to be boring and tedious. TAKE IT WITH MARKEY IF YOU CAN!

Willing to go slower if class doesnt understand but still keep pace regular for the fast people. take great notes on either the class or the book because thats what on the test. will help tons if you read the book or go to class but she doesnt take attendance. pop quizes/ classwork to check if your in class.

I don't know why there are so many negative comments about Dr. Marmorstein. She's a helpful professor, and all but bends over backwards to make sure her students succeed. She's one of the best psych professors at Rutgers.

DO NOT TAKE M&T WITH HER (even though she is nice)!! She doesn't clarify anything on the large and hard lit review. She does grammar worksheets like in 3rd grade, and the material is SO boring! She yells at you if you talk during class, like in 5th grade. STAY AWAY!

This class had so much tedious work- busy work, unnecessary homework assignments. Completely ridiculous. Oh, and the grammar assignments were insulting! I would not recommend this teacher- i agree with the fact that the grading is harsh and she picks favorites.
