Comment:

Dr Lev is an extraordinary professor. She is very caring for those students who actually try their best to understand physics. I would love to take her class for 3B! Her accent may be a bit difficult at first to understand, but you get used to it. In overall, would really recommend the class!

Comment:

Took professor lev over the 6 weeks summer session. Past 6 weeks have been the toughest 6 weeks of my life. Spent +10hrs studying physics and I was able to pull out an A(I haven't got my final grade yet but I just needed to get 70% on my final) She has a strong accent but you will get used to in after few days. Other than that she is the best!!!!

You will get an A or B in her class if she likes you. If she likes you then you get an A on every assignment, maybe tests. Show that your interested in physics by asking Q's and going to her OH. The tests are pretty much HW problems but beware that she make lots of mistakes in her exams so if you see any tell her. Final is so easy it took me 20 min

The way I see this class is based on whether she likes you or not. If you are her favorite then you pass with an A or B. Show that your interested in physics by asking Q's as well as going to her office hours, she like people that do so. Tests are pretty much homework problems but beware that she makes lots of mistake so if you see any tell her.

She is a good teacher. She tells you what type of problems will be on every test, and if you are able to study those problems, you will do fine. She can be very picky about how you do homework, but if you do it with effort, you will get a good score. We rarely did any labs, only about four in the entire semester and they were simple.

The class really should not be as hard as she makes it since it is for biological majors. The 3 series test you on whether or not you understand the concept while she test you as if you are becoming an engineer. You never know where you stand gradewise in her class because she never offers you a grade scale to go off of.

She's a nice lady, just not a great teacher. Her accent isn't great and the textbook doesn't help either since she does things her way. She's a tough grader and nitpicks every little thing. I'm surprise i passing the class with a C.

Professor Lev was great! Knows her subject really well and is good at conveying that in her lectures. Physics comes very difficult to me for some reason, but with her help and hard work I was able to pull off an A. 4 tests, Hw, and Lab experiments count towards your grade. She might curve or drop bad grades if the class is struggling..good luck!

took her for 3a&3b. She's awesome! I love her. She knows her stuff. She has a strong accent but u'll get used to it. She's nice and respectful, she wants you to be the same way to her (if you wanna be her favorite stdnt). CHEW ON HER NOTES! STUDY HARD. DO ALL HW PROBLEMS. ASK AS MANY QUESTION AS YOU CAN. You can get an A in her class.

Took 2A in the winter and 2B summer with her. Got an A in both. Russian accent but great teacher. Study her notes and you will be okay. She's very knowledgeable in her content and is very helpful. She's definitely a fair grader so if the entire class does poorer she is flexible on curving the grading scale. Wish I could take her for more classes!!!

Took Prof. Lev in the Winter. Has an accent but she is aware of it. Stayed to help everyday after class. Tough grader with details. I did all of the homework and asked a lot of questions and was able to get an A. Although it was fast, getting an A is definitely do-able if you give it your all. Will take her for Physics 2B in the summer.

Prof. Lev is a helpful and knowledgeable teacher. She knows physics very well. She came from Russia so she has a strong accent. She gives credit for HW but she grades harshly. She always told us that HW will be similar as exam but never trust her. Her exams are always unattainable. No one gets A in my class at all. Take her only if you are clever.

She seems to be nice but just be cautious if u do not do well with teachers with an accent you will not understand any of her lectures. do not take her during winter or summer as well because the class is to short and will only become more difficult because of her accent

If you put time on this class, she will see you are trying and she will try to help you as much as possible. For some reason Quizzes were way harder than Tests. Reading the book will help you understand the concepts deeper. She is flexible with schedule although she tells you about the changes of syllabus way ahead of time

Very clear and organized instructor. Has extremely good way of explaining even the dumbest questions. Always welcoming with questions and problems. Super fair!!!! Highly recommend.

She is very sweet if you attend the class. She's not nice if you ditch or walk out, oh ya and if youre a smoker you cant sit in the front she trips on that. lol I can't really understand her because she talks so fast and she has a big accent, but she's really nice and wants people to pass and does her best to help you succeed..

i dont know why people keep complaining about her class she's very passionated about her teaching and we can see she's doing her best to help us to get A. on the very first day of the class, there were 45, but on the final, less than 15 remained. there was 12 A's and 2 B's. don't drop her class. she'll give you an extra credit and retake test
