nice person , horrible teacher !He literally writes a few words on the board and talks for 3 straight hours. he talks extremely fast and studders like no other! You watch a BORING youtube video for an hour or two every 3 weeks. You teach yourself , you read the book if you want a good grade. i do not recoomend this teacher honestly.

This class is NOT difficult since he gives you study guides prior to the exam that tell you what to study for. He was absent on several occassions. Very helpful after class and even in his office if you have concerns about the material. Offers extra credit, exams, a final, and group presentation on specific artist of your group's choice. Take him!

I took this instructor about 12 years ago and he still has a lasting memory on me as a wonderful instructor. I have seen him on occasion off campus and he still will say hello to me. I thought he was a wonderful teacher!!

He is a nice man! His class is made simple and is straight forward! You don't have to read the book to pass the class you can look up most answers on the internet! If you fail, it's cause you had no effort on your part. The only person who fails his class is a LAZY one!

Katungi is a an amazing pofessor, very wise, kind and just really good. I loved his class and plan on taking more of his classes. Its easy to get an A, so long as you show up and pay attention.

he is a very good teacher he makes you go over alot of reading so that you will retain what you need to know. i also liked his class because it was a place were critial thinking was encouraged. if you were not clear about something he would correct you in a way that did not make you feel stupid.

It takes a few classes to get used to his accent, but the class is very easy to follow and he gives extra credit for writing reaction papers to his videos. If you don't get an A in this class it's because you didn't want it. It's there for the taking.

Videos, videos, videos. His accent can lull you to sleep, so beware. Is a VERY excellent teacher. Mostly lectures. Loves students thoughts on lectures, so deep, heated discussions are a given. You will learn LOADS in this class about black history. And black present.

Pay attention to his take home assignments and lectures and you will do just fine. Take advantage of his extra credits, very worth it! Yes, videos are long, but some are actually very insightful.
