Terrible teacher. Does not lay out things clearly and stacks assignments till the last minute. Instructions are very vague and grades extremely hard. Does not respond to emails fast and is a very lazy grader. Disorganized teacher, would not take this class again.

Neal was helpful, but useless in explaining things. His feedback didn't help me at all. Taking his online class was useless as well, he does not work around your schedule. Scheduled tests was difficult because like me, I can't afford to take time off work to take test. I take online for a reason. FYI, don't take this guy.

In this class there is A LOT of reading and A LOT of writing. Every Tuesday and Thursday there was an assignment due, both of which require a lot of time and attention. However, all of the assignments lead up to the essay and test so the content can be re-used. He was very helpful and gave excellent, in-depth feedback.

This class was great! I didn't expect to work in a computer lab, but each class you came in and got all your work done. Keep up with the readings and you'll do fine. Neal's funny and easy going. The calamari assignment was pretty funny!!

I loved this class! Neal is a great professor and is extremely helpful. No need to buy a textbook which is awesome. The homework readings are interesting, and the required movies are fun to watch. If you complete all of the readings (take notes), and come to every class, you can definitely get an A. I highly recommend taking English 126 with Neal.

Do you know how to use a computer? If so, take this course. All the work is done on WEBCT, all the textbooks are on WEBCT, all the homework is submitted through WEBCT, all the classwork is...you get the idea. Mr. Skapura is approachable, concise and patient - even with students who need to be told something more than once.

Do you know how to use a computer? If so, take this class. Everything is through WEBCT. He never derives from his course calendar online. The coursework is pretty standard: read and report, synthesize and summarize. He is mellow, approachable, concise, and patient - even for students that need to be told something more than once.

DONNOT TAKE ONLINE. Horrible professor. I tried so hard in his class, asked him for feedback many times, he was late in his responses and very very unreasonable. Out of 15 people 2 got A's.... 13 people cannot be stupid. Horrible teacher, DONNOT and i repeat DONNOT be temped to take this class, unless your GPA can take a given B possibly C in it.

This guy is very unfriendly,but he tries to make jokes to lighten the mood. He is very short, unhelpful, and apparently unfarmiliar with how to run an online class effectively, though he has been doing it for years.He needs lessons on approachability, and how to teach frankly. It was a huge disapointment because I WAS looking forward to the class.

Hard class. He will work you to death. About 3 short essays a week. Online course was harder than in-class. Website is ugly/hard to navigate. Good teacher, strong grading policies. Put time into the essays and you will score high. Works on building your grammatical knowledge.

Neal is a cool guy and I have to say he did help me improve in writing. The essays are fairly interesting and he also teaches grammar which is a bonus. Can be a tough grader but he is only looking out for you in hopes it helps you improve in your writing. Take his class

BEWARE! Do not take an online class with this man unless you feel very comfortable in the online setting, because his classes are CONFUSING. Everything he does seems cockeyed and vague. He makes many, many spelling and grammatical errors, you will not learn anything from this man! Pretty easy, if you are good at writing, you'll be ok in his class.

For an English teacher, he sure makes a lot of grammatical, stylistic, and spelling errors. Also, he uses his class to push his political views on students. Even though I agree with his stance, this seems unscrupulous to me.
