Comment:

Nelly loves French, as she is French, and you can tell. She's hilarious, understands that languages are hard, and wants everyone to succeed. I've had her for 103, 106, and 122, and I wish she was my prof continuing through French. She paces the class according to the students, and tries her best to make things interesting and understandable.

So awesome! She is so kind and super goofy! Never a dull moment in her class! :) also, she is very clear on what she will be tested on and her tests are very easy provided you study what she tells you to study. She is a wonderful lady and I wish I could take her class again just because I love her so much!

Nelly is a great prof, she's pretty organized and provides lost of examples and ways to learn the material to make sure you understand it. Watch out though, she thinks French is top priority for everyone. If you miss class too much/ don't participate she'll resent you & if you answer wrong in class she may make fun and can be harsh at times.

She is literally awesome! Freaking hilarious and makes learning the basics of French easy. I'm in 106 now with another prof and it's like so much harder just because she's not as caring as Mme Plantiveau! ;) I miss her being my prof. Seriously guys rearrange your schedule until you can get her as a prof.

I had Nelly twice for 103 and 106 and I loved having her both times. She wants you to do well and she gets everyone to participate. She kind of pokes fun at students but in a nice way, very french. I enjoyed going to her class. Would recommend her as a prof for sure!

Great prof, clear grammar explanations and examples. Students love her, super chill and relaxed. She gives several tests so they're worth less. a few projectspapers but fair marker. Fun prof, looked forward to going to class, would take again.

Not fair to some of students. So many quiz. Almost once a week!!!! "Oral test" is not what you speak, she read a long paragraph and you listen to choose a answer. The test question was so hard, harder than what we learned from the test book. If you have other choice, do not choose this teacher.

Honestly I won't lie, she was a good prof. She knew her stuff and taught it well. Although, if you ask for help, she will look down on you. She is willing to help, but she will make you feel bad about asking a question. She often makes fun of the students and takes it a little too far.

One of the best professors to introduce French to beginners. More quizzes than homework, and two midterms were really the only work. All tests were fair. As any other language class, being in lectures is essential to passing and learning the language. She gives the class a fun environment, and gets everyone involved. Textbook was very helpful.

Great teacher! Funny, friendly and approachable. She doesn't teach from the text book, so attending class is extremely helpful. She makes french interesting and straight forward. Take her class if you get the chance!
