Worst class/professor I've had in 3 yrs at Duke. Class is heinously boring, the material is largely unrelated to psych, and his powerpoints are poorly organized. Doesn't seem to listen/care what students say who disagree/question the material. Schmajuk seems very kind, but he just is not a good professor. Seriously, take a different class. Please.

Awesome professor. Very kind and always available to help out. Tests: know everything from the slides. EVERYTHING. If you have it all memorized, then tests will be easy. No textbook (just slides from lecture). Also, it wasn't really a psych course. The material was mostly history related...and knowing unimportant details.

Take this class if you have an interest in learning nothing and memorizing every single word of every powerpoint (not an exaggeration). He asks really obscure questions on the test that are useless. You learn nothing about psychology. You learn 1 thing about creativity. Would not recommend unless you like memorization and mandatory attendance

In my opinion, the course description does not accurately describe what is taught in this class. I felt as if I learned more about physics and electrical currents than creativity or psychology. He tests on seemingly unrelated details and not concepts. The lectures are difficult to understand and there is no book. I would not recommend this course.

This professor tried to be helpful, but the material was very complicated/techinical and he didn't always present it effectively. Tests were very hard and random, but graded fairly. The only good thing is that there's very little work.

His tests are literally straight from the lecture notes, word for word. If you memorize EVERYTHING you should be fine. There are 3 exams and attendance is mandatory. He's really understanding and helpful if you go to his office hours. I failed his first test and still got a B+

so easy. really. tests come straight from notes, literally word by word. hes a boring lecturer but you can just go to class and stay on the internet the whole time. he has his real funny moments. hes a nice guy with the funniest accent. highly recommend this class
