Neujahr is an awesome guy. Very caring and helpful. He has his interests and will stick to them, so taking more than 1 or 2 of his classes will become redundant. But if you enjoy Ancient and Early Modern Philosophy then he's the guy for you.

Dr. Neujahr is truly a great professor. He can get a bit tedious at times but you can tell he is incredibly passionate about his work. I'd definitely recommend him for any class. If you are struggling with any of the material, he will give you opportunities to raise your grade.

He loves his Ancients, but once you take one class with him, all the others are the same. His lectures are often boring unless you're intensely interested in the subject. Overall, however, he's an excellent teacher--very helpful, jovial and well-informed.

Dr. Neujahr is fantastic! He's got a great sense of humor and he's a really nice guy. He explains things really clearly, and he doesn't assign too much reading. I learned a lot in his core class.

Great lecturer, and gives daily quizes. Just do your reading and you'll be fine. Usually lets you retype your papers for a better grade too. Excellent professor.

He gave us 500 word papers to write every week. Possibly the best lecturer at OU, and a great guy. He's a bit fuzzy on his grading method, but it all seems to work out in the end. He DEFINATELY knows what he's talking about. Loves the ancient greeks. A big ol' teddy bear outside of class. =)

this class would have been so easy if not for the written exams. if you find yourself unfortunate enough to have to take this, study like crazy for those! other than that, you can skate by not really paying attention. i read other books most of the time. be prepared to be bored as****.

Very easy class--maybe 5-10 pgs. of reading a night. IS obsessed with the ancient Greeks, and the topic of slavery. Has you write papers on books you have not read in class yet. Daily notecard quizzes. Nice guy. I can understand why philosophy majors don't like him, but he's great for CORE.

While the course does not have rich material to enthrall students, Neujarh does an especially noteworthy job of putting students to sleep. Completely uncaring when it comes to personal issues and unwilling to work with abseentism.

Not a very fun class to take: obsessed with the Ancient Greeks; everything he talk about he makes relate to them in some way. Gives irritaing paper assignments asking you to explain something you've just read, rather than analyze it
