Comment:
He has very dull lectures and constantly goes off topic. His tone makes the lecture drag even more. However hes not a tough grader, pretty fair as long as you come to class. His quizzes have nothing to do with his lectures so watch out. One thing I liked was that his final isnt cummulative.

Professor Camerota has truly shaped me through college. His lectures are amazing and really opened my eyes to philosophy, specifically the writings of the existentialists. His lectures are definitely inspiring and make you think about why exactly you're in college. I would take him again if given the opportunity.

While he slacks on attendance, it is necessary to passing the class so I say it is technically mandatory. It is best to sit in the front of the class and challenge him whenever possible, he likes that.

For my elective, I took Political Science. Any complaints you may have read about his philosophy class are null here, he makes it clear than if you're here because you want to be he won't give you guff. He respects any question, though sometimes the answer is a bit round about the edges. Just actually attention to the lecture.

Class is a bit tough. Even with good notes, sometimes a bit difficult to capture the exact content that is on quizzes. Read the book, makes life easier. His lectures are amazing, intelligent, sarcastic, and often speckled with rants about relevant issues on campus. Beware for he is retiring in Summer of 2016. He is unleashing tyranny! (not really)

This man makes the class. He assigns a book but you won't need it much, as he recites all you need right off the top of his head. But his true charm lies in his utterly sarcastic demeanor. He'll come off as a rambler and a real jerk to many, but every other comment has a sardonic hilarity that's just wonderful, so I recommend him entirely.

Awesome speaker. Does go off topic a lot and you'd better do good on the quizes because thats all there is for grades in the class. Overall a fun class but philosophy is confusing enough.

An exceptional lecturer, he is able to describe all levels of the subject matter; the branching effects of his lectures weave into areas of life unexpected and are realized in class wide discussions.

Brilliant professor, very well-read on his topic that he knows backwards and forwards. Tests were multiple-guess, and nearly weekly. I'd have preferred essays (that plays to my strengths) but for those that dislike the essay test, it's a blessing.

Smart and very motivated professor. He can go off track a bit, but stay and listen. It's often off the track where you learn the most.

This guy is quite the speaker. The assignments are straight forward along with the ideas he gives in class. He does go off topic but many of times its about current/local political affairs. Sitdown, shutup and dont worry about a book. Best class i ever took at STCC

Great guy, if you are highly religious or offended by his lnaguage he recommends you to not take his class. He really cares about his students and he loves to teach, shut up, listen and take notes. He goes off topic alot but its mostly on politics. Overall he's a great professor to have
