band was way too easy. if you're any good at music, it's the easiest thing you'll ever do. admittedly, big waste of time. if you like meeting people and hanging out with em outside of rehearsal, good way to meet other people with same musical interests. otherwise... find another ensemble if you wanna get better.

Dr. Holland is a great teacher. He's very understanding and truly cares about his students. I got into a pretty bad wreck and he allowed me to go on the overnight trip without having to march and didn't hold me accountable for it. He's a wonderful teacher!

Don't let all of these "band nerd" responses fool you. Mr. Holland needs to get with the program and make people accountable for their preparedness whether they are majors or not. He lets people get by with no effort whatsoever. The people giving him such good ratings are prime suspects of this. He definitely needs to expect more of students.

Very kind. Passionate about his music. He was very understanding about everything. I was a loner in the band, but he always talked to me, listened to my problems and request, and gave me complements. He helped me stay in the band as long as I did.

Dr. Holland is AWESOME! When I was pregnant he worked out a deal with me so that I could keep my scholarship since I wasn't able to march. Dr. Holland has always been there for his students and is quick to hand out compliments when they are due. He's an all around great guy.
