Dr. Teller is brilliant. He's willing to consider other points of view, but he expects sound, informed thinking supported by specific, detailed evidence. Those who criticize him probably don't read the assignments thoroughly or closely, have poor memories, or lack insight. Lazy students may not do well in his class, but he's definitely first-rate.

If he made you feel dumb, it's probably because you were. I had this man for Shakespeare and Mythology thirty years ago, and not only was he one of the most brilliant people I have ever met, he was a great shaper of my intellect and life. Bad reviews here show the shabby expectations students have and their failure to appreciate a great teacher

Dr. Teller is the smartest teacher on the planet. Eccentric, but brilliant. Funny, but way, way knowledgeable. Ernest and energetic. Expects a lot, but delivers more.

Dr. Teller is an extremely intelligent man. Unfortunately he cannot teach well. His tests are ridiculously hard. It's almost as if he expects you to memorize every work talked about in class. He also loves proving that he knows more than his students by making the students feel like dirt. I

Brilliant, but a terrible professor. Knows EVERYTHING about Shakespeare, but can't teach it. Tests are ridiculously hard and he seems to enjoy watching you fail & proving that he knows more than you. Three tests and a 20 pg. paper and that's your grade. It's crazy!

Dr. Teller is a great guy...unfortunately, he can't teach! He is so boring and reads directly out of the book! There are some opportunities for improvement since you base your grade off of three tests, which include a one page extra credit assignment. Go and try and you MAY succeed!!

He might be an ok guy, but he gets off on making students feel worthless. Don't ask a question, otherwise he'll make you look stupid in front of the class. He's also very unpresentable looks wise and kind of smells funky. His teaching style is a little different and he doesn't really help prepare you for the exam, just highlight notes and study!
