As a graduating Chemical Engineering student, I can honestly say she is the most unorganized and unclear professor I have ever had. Her behavior towards other students in the class was disrespectful to say the least. I have taken other awesome ANTH courses in the past, but this was a train wreck from start to finish.

Horrible Professor. Very eccentric and weird. Hard to take notes from her lectures and very disorganized. Halfway through the class I still didn't understand what was going on. Doesn't give out A's ever. Is not clear about how she grades paper, and gives unclear feedback. Is rude to students who are not her favorites. DO NOT TAKE!

shes pretty crazy and definitely has an opinion on what she wants in her essays. If you pay attention and write about what she says to, you'll be fine. I read absolutely nothing for this class, skimmed it two seconds before class and was able to pretend I read. Easy class, easy homework. Be nice to her, you'll be fine. Even if her class was boring

I was so worried I would hate her based on other's comments. So she's a little crazy, and not the easiest person to listen to at first, but if you don't take her too seriously, she's pretty entertaining and is very easy to get in touch with/talk to outside of class. You'll get out of the class what you put in.

It's hard to get over her speech impediment, or her resemblance to Pat from SNL, but besides that she's very challenging and expects you to know what she's thinking, and write accordingly. Very tough grader; unlikely you'll get an A paper unless you've done field research yourself. Very cranky. Good luck if she doesn't like you. She has favorites.
