THE WORST PROFESSOR IN DAVIS!!! BEWARE BEWARE. do not take this professor at any means. I was an honor student every quarter UNTIL him. Seriously he is horrible and he doesnt care if students try hard or want a good grade. DO NOT TAKE HIM!!

The professor was very random with his test questions. the readings that he assigned wasn't helpful. you get tested on the lecture too, but there's so many little details that you'll never know what will exactly be on the test. there's no saying what to study. he's friendly but very hard to understand times.

I don't like him. he goes off topic 11 times in 10 lectures, while we are discussing people in Mexico, he was talking about something else in the solar system.you are not allow to have your MT back for studying the final, all you can do is staying in his room and read your mistakes like an idiot.... avoid him at all cost he really will screw you up

Stupidest class!! Thought it would be an easy A...you have to go to class because of the slides(no powerpoint) but he just rambles on and on and on and on about nothing that he will test you on. Just read the book thoroughly and pay attention to the slides. If you can avoid him, do so. He seems like a nice guy but cant teach

DO NOT TAKE THIS PROF. HE IS THE WORST PROFESSOR IN DAVIS. For both Geo10 and Geo126 he is the worst teacher. He is very unclear, rambles on about nonsense, is unhelpful, and very judgemental of students. Before taking this professor I was a HOnor Student for 5 quarters straight. He is INCOMPITENT as a teacher. DO NOT TAKE HIM

Dr.Allan is an amazing guy and an asset to UCD. He's got more office hours than any other professor I've seen on campus so don't cry about a long line during the last week. Make the time to visit him there. True-his exams are a little unconventional, but this encourages free thinking. Lecture draws from his vast experience in South Asia. + nice guy

Midterm has nothing to do with lecture or book. I think he might be a bit senile and just thinks he said it in lecture and puts stuff on the midterm that wasn't even in lecture or the book. The good thing about it is that there is a very generous curve in the class. On the midterm 78% and above was an A.

worst professor ever.. the tests were extremely hard.. and the whole grade was based on a midterm and a final.. he is not helpful at all.. he had no office hours before the final week.. refused to help students when the office hour was over althought there were 10 students waiting outside..
