You can be hard working star student with an all- A's track record but it is practically impossible to get an A in his class. His exams are beyond pathetic. Worse, this was an online class and the whole class lacked structure and rigidity. My GPA is messed up because of him and his class really just undermined my ability to write.

This is the worst class I've taken in college. For nine weeks, you will be doing the same kind of monotonous assignment every week- ZERO diversity in his assignments. His exam questions don't make sense and some of them look like they've been written by a two year old. He gives little to no feedback on discussion responses. DO NOT take him.

Yes, he's easy and there isn't a whole lot of work involved. There were things that bothered me about him. All of his classes had the same exact format. Write 500 for discussion and 500 for response. He didn't grade our first paper before our second paper was due. He has no lecture or any original material. Gives minimal direction. Must be tenured

So he doesn't give full points on discussions, well thats why the curve is there to help you. Discussions are 400-500 words, you have to read the weekly chapter and pull info from it with quotes for a good grade. Don't just give your opinion! Exams aren't too bad he gives a study sheet. HeĆ¢€™s one of the best online instructors I have taken.

He will give A LOT of work that will be extremely time consuming. Great assignments you will learn from. He's a harsh grader, so be prepared to work hard for your A.

Great professor. He does not give full points on assignments, but he grades on a curve. Thought provoking assignments and heavy book usage.

I took this class online. The requirements were: (a) 2 400-word posts per week, (b) 3 exams, & (c) a final 1000-word paper due at the end of the semester. Dr. Steve is very funny and helpful. He provided lecture notes that help us better understand the materials in the book. As long as you read the book and do the work, you will do fine.

COMM41 online is not that difficult. The workload may be scary initially (two 500w posts a week, quizzes, and exams), but some commitment and reading will go a long way. Plus, he grades on a curve which helps a lot, books are helpful and not a total bore to read, and you don't need to "show up" for class. Highly recommend this class.

Took critical decision making online. I THOUGHT it was hard but i ended up getting an A. A lot of ppl in my class didn't do well on the quizzes or tests and we all got As. The final was so easy - don't study too hard. The discussions posts were long and tedious and the quizzes hard but it's a good class to take if you have to and have the time

very easy class that will fit into your schedule and that core requirement. hinerman is a very social guy and very approachable. the online class was an easy A as long as you do the work. just review the text and lectures for the posts and quizzes and make sure you do the projects and you will pass.

HE is a great teacher! I am glad he was my public speaking teacher because he made my worries subside with his laid back personality. Public speaking was pretty hard in the beginning of the semester, but Hinerman made it so easy to relax his students by his jokes and comments after every speech. Take his class! You'll have a good time!

Woooo easy class... take it ONLINE w/ Hinerman. 2 posts/week, some group projects (he emitted one.. woot) and some quizzes and exams that are fairly easy, as he curves. On campus final that was SO easy.. just a case in which u answer three ?s. I wish I had met him before the day of the final! Very cool and funny teacher. Incredibly nice and helpful

If you remember to do all the work on time you'll do fine. This guy is pretty easy. No make-up work though. For his responses to your questions may seem a bit rude or mean. His final is very easy just 4 questions and your out.

He is actually not that hard, just make sure that you study his seminar notes along with the lecture. He starts off strong with like a quiz a week but then dies down as the semester continues. He is hella cool and find out early how easy it is to push his buttons and how easy it is to get away with everything...

his class is exciting and yet i always seem to learn more in the seminar than in the lecture because he explains things so clearly. very funny and always is late to class. finally, we always start class around 20 mins after he actually comes to class. Ask him to saw the word "laws"
