Comment:

Prof. McNair is not very nice. She can be very mean and makes you feel very stupid. She is very helpful on quizzes which you have 4 quizzes all semester (one of them is a huge quiz that is ridiculously hard) and a final. If you know spanish and are good at it its an easy class is you dont its very difficult and does not prepare you for Spanish 4

I agree with the person who says she makes you feel stupid. Also, I used to go see her for extra help all the time. She would tell me one thing in extra help and when I put it in my paper, she would mark it wrong! Nice, but seems kind of senile. I had her class over a year ago and I still complain! I still got an A though because I went to class.

she was one of the best spanish professors i have ever had. the readings were good and although sometimes her class got boring, it was a really great class overall. i would recommend everyone that is taking a spanish course, take one with her.

I love Spanish and I loved her class. Finally someone that speaks the target language in class. Loved it!Great teacher. Very helpful. Take her class if you want to learn without tooo much stress about your grade, she is kind of easy.

Compared to other Spanish teachers, she is probably one of the best out there. She is nice and flexible with due dates. She helps you during tests and will give you a good grade if you show effort. Yet, she seems completely lost at times and in her own world. She can be very frustrating, but I'd still recommend taking her class.

awesome teacher. very nice, EXTREMELY flexible with due dates for papers / tests. class was easy, i got an A and did very little work outside of the class. always available to help you if you need it. overall awesome professor, i HIGHLY recommend her class, i will def be taking a class with her in the future.

Prof. McNair is possibly the worst, most useless teacher ever. If everything is not perfect, she freaks out. She only likes those who speak fluent Spanish and she does not listen to a word you say. Her class is difficult and time consuming, but she's not an extremely harsh grader. She just makes you feel really stupid. I would not advise taking her

I love this woman. I took SPAN005 with her last semester, and I'm taking SPAN180 with her next semester. I talk to her outside of school all the time. She's the greatest. However, you HAVE to keep up with her workload or you WILL be lost. But I definitely recommend her to ANYONE who's interested in really learning Spanish.

I have had this professor 4 times in 3 years... now doesnt that say it all?? shes an amazing teacher and you couldnt ask for anything more. Just dont go in to her class and expect to slide by. Do your work and copy her lectures in DETAIL!! her tests (mostly take home except the final) are easy if you took good notes. Very helpful!

This is my 4th or 5th class with this woman and she is the greatest professor ever. She's so nice and as long as you at least act like you care, she will go above and beyond for you. It sucks I can't take anymore of her classes but she is amazing, take every class of hers! Love this woman!

Don't take this class unless you are very very good at spanish. I was a freshman who tested into spanish 5, and i felt so lost. I ended up with a c+ in her class. i know that isn't a horrible grade, but it didn't reflect the amount of work i put into the class. she's a nice lady, and a good professor, but be sure of your skills before enrolling.

Class is very advanced so it was very difficult to understand her deep intellectual thoughts about the novels she selected. She does give you the test questions prior to the exam, but it is becuase she wants such specifc detail that without the prior knowldege, its almost impossible to pass cuz you dont know what to focus on. Great teacher though

learned a lot from her. but had to work my butt off for it. keep up with the reading cuz she just deos a review of the stories in class, does not read them in full. She tells you the EXACT questions for her test the week before. Great woman, Great teacher, Great class. MUY BIEN QUERIDA!!

I agree she is a very nice lady and does try to help her students, but her grading policy on tests are ridiculous. She givees extra opportunities so it wasn't so bad but her tests were very unclear and difficult.
