Prof. Dean is a great professor. He made Chemistry so easy! If you do want to pass, you do have attend class. He is very old school, he doesnt use any technology, he give out paper handouts, and he loves cracking chemistry jokes.

Professor Dean is an AMAZING professor! I loved every minute of his class. I normally don't do well in science courses, but he made everything so easy to understand and he truly took the time to explain things to you when you weren't getting it. I took him over the summer so the class was fast paced, but made 3 hours fly by some how.

Simply brilliant. Let me put it this way; before I took his class I despised chemistry. His class changed my view. Exams are quite difficult and he's very picky about labs, but he's also very kind and willing to help if you ask questions. No online material whatsoever. He's a bit old-fashioned in that regard, but I still loved taking his class.

Professor Dean was wonderful!! He was so kind, willing to help, and he was the most fair grading teacher I have ever had. He sat down with me after class one day to figure out my grade because he doesn't post on eagle. I thought the lab with it was very fun also. Highly recommend! You will not regret taking him.

Passionate about Chemistry, very informative, not an easy subject but he is very approachable and helpful. His tests are hard, but you learn the material which makes the final extremely easy. He can be entertaining, even though the lectures can be long, you WILL learn in his class . Attendance is taken, first day you sit, then you're stuck there

Take him. I could not be happier with my choice of a chemistry professor. He is extremely helpful, but you must ask for it. I've asked him for help several times and he's always willing to make sure I understand the material. He's the sweetest professor you will ever have. Definitely would not have gotten such a good grade if it wasn't for him.

Professor Dean is such a nice guy, and absolutely hilarious. I also appreciated how helpful he was, he wants you to get it. However, I felt him to be at times all over the place and his tests impossible! If you are content with a B take this class.

Dean was an amazing teacher. Chemistry is a really hard subject for me. It was my hardest class in fact, but I actually got an A with a lot of hard work! If you are afraid of Chemistry, take Dean. He makes things clear. Drops lowest test and lowest two labs. He even make the topic somewhat interesting.

He makes Chemistry interesting, he's very straight forward. Tells you what he expects and gives you handouts for notes, which is awesome. It's not really worth getting the book unless you want to do practice problems, he doesn't really use the book as much, only his handouts. He's a little old fashion but a very good teacher! Highly recommended!

Afraid of chemistry? Take Dean. He makes a difficult subject fun and actually interesting. Interspersed with anecdotes and his dry humor is what makes his class my favorite! Skip the textbook-too confusing. Nicest guy around. Helpful, will explain anything, Labs are actually fun. Not easy class, but I highly recommend him.

Very nice and helpful guy. His test are tricky, but he is a fair grader. The lab reports are kind of a pain in a rear, and he will always find something wrong on them.
