He literally talks about nothing the entire class period. He is a nice guy, just drags lectures out. He does curve the tests significantly which is cool. However lecture is mandatory and really hard to listen to.

He often gets off topic, but I still found his class interesting. He did not assign a textbook, but gave us reading online to do. Keep up with the readings because they supplement the lecture! Midterm and final are bluebook..he gives you a study guide before but there is A LOT to know. Also there is a really big research paper

Very poor lecturer- he often read 'facts' off of a sheet of paper as his 'lecture.' In addition, he gave a particularly offensive lecture about domestic violence which was backed up by very little fact. He's very unorganized although he does give questions for the exam ahead of time which is a plus.

He was the most boring teacher eve. He has no lecture slides up and he write everything on the board & he has ugly handwriting. He goes off topic and half the time, the class is like a discussion.

professor skonovd is a great teacher. he is not a great lecturer but his class is pretty do-able. there is one midterm, one paper, and one final. the tests are graded pretty easily but the paper was for some reason graded really hard so be prepared and start early on it!!!!!!!!!!!

He knows his stuff. Google him! His mind is amazing. Go to class, do the reading, and know the essay questions he gives you AHEAD of time and you will do fine. The TA grades. If there's questions, go to the TA and then to the Professor. The professor is approachable! I have had many discussions with him. He cares about his students.

Provides study guides but doesn't give clear guidelines re: what an adequate answer should consist of. Grading very subjective--answers based on your/his opinion of how the concept relates to Soc of law in general. I attended class and did all readings and barely got a B--lowest grade I ever received in any Soc class. Not helpful in office hours.

It seems impossible to get an A- study guides give you all the questions, but there's no set guidelines for what they're looking for. Paper was graded easily. Just a lame excuse for a class.

He is very interested in the subject matter, and although he does go off on tangents, it's usually interesting. He provides a full study guide, so if you go to class you'll get a good grade. Also, he's nice and if you introduce yourself to him he'll help you a lot.

This is the worst class i have ever taken. I thought the topic of deviance was going to be incredibly interesting, but he took it to a new level of boring. He never talked about anything that could have been helpful for the midterm/paper/final. It was a total waste of time.

This class was horrible. I've never had problems with This guy does not talk about things that are important in class. He goes off on random tangents and talks about nothing in the readings. After 3 weeks, I dropped it. He is very unclear and you come away from lecture thinking "what?" Stay away if possible. Get a different professor.

He is a very nice person, but not a good teacher. He always goes off track while lecturing. He has lots of personal stories about "BERKELEY" to share since he went to school there....he never talked about readings in class...also talks about religious cults a lot since he did lots of research on it..TA was not very helpful or friendly....she graded

His deviance class is boring!! My goodness is it boring, i think i slept during every lecture. His test is mostly essay and there is only one midterm and one final. With one 10page paper. The TA was so damn boring he is a history graduate for god sake, why have a history TA for Soc? that is ridiculous. Didnt need to go to discussion at all
