Preyer is the best physics professor you could ever have. He truly respects and rewards students who care and he goes way above and beyond to help us all. I failed physics 111 with another prof but somehow managed an A- in Preyer's class. THAT'S how good he is! Intelligent, well-spoken, take him if you want to succeed!

Great Professor! His test are a fair challenge. They are easy to pass, but actually kind of hard to make an "A" on which is prob what should be expected for a physics class. Nighty homework is annoying, but I have noticed that I haven't needed to study as much for tests prob because of this. His quizes are easy, and he makes th material intresting.

Dr. Preyer is a funny and engaging professor that creates a great environment for his class. He is extremely helpful (visit him in office hours!) His class will take a bit of work but if you actually try and or simply ask for help it shouldn't be hard. The only problem is that occasionally the homework seems to be ahead of the lectures.

I've taken 3 of his classes, and each of them has been a treat. It's obvious how much he loves physics and teaching. Consistently goes above and beyond the call of duty. Hes always eager to help. Do not expect an easy grade, but do expect to learn alot. In my experience, he has been fair and reasonable. Tests are a good diagnostic of your knowledge

Had him for nuclear physics. He's a good guy. Gives out homework solutions and practice tests. If you are a physics major, you'll have him at least once, because he teaches everything. In all of his upper level physics classes (after gen. phys.), he makes you do a research project/paper.

Great prof. Always prepared and knows his stuff really well. He spends significant time working to help the students with outside material, relations to other classes, and real world examples. If you are scared of a challenge, don't take him. Otherwise, I've had him for 3 classes and would go back.

Had him for 111L. Overall, nice guy, however it annoyed me that it would take him at least 3 weeks to give stuff back. Also grades lab reports as if we were all physics majors...toooo strict. I suppose overall he is okay, since this is a lab, but if you want it easy, find somebody else.

obviously likes physics and teaching, but he's incompetent and lazy about doing any higher, or at least appropriate level maths. He doesn't seem to think that this is a problem though.

Preyer does his best to come down to the level of his students. Simply put, he is very interested in physics and will sometimes linger on confusing tangents. That said, he was practically always available in his office, way beyond most professors, and one-on-one is very clear and understanding of students with troubles.

Dr. Preyer is incredibly smart, and he has a great sense of humor (comics at the beginning of each lecture) The class is tough, but as long as you do the homework problems you will be fine. See him during office hours and he will help you with any problems you may have. I cannot wait to have him again as a professor.

He is a cool guy, and means very well. The class is honors, and the pace is really fast...too fast. Most of the class is completely lost, but he curves so much that you end up doing just fine. The final is much easier than the tests.

He's a terrible teacher. He tests you on things before he teaches them... and when he finally gets around to explaining things, he explains problems not concepts. His tests are hard for the fact that he doesn't teach you anything. He tries to be helpful but fails miserably.

He likes physics, and he's probably good at it too. But he's no teacher, but he thinks he is. Personally, I hate his guts. If you want to learn physics, don't take this class. If you just want the credit, don't take this class. If you want a nap, take this class.

Could not find words to put here. He is nice but bad teacher. I did not see passion for teaching in him. If you have spare to time to bore yourself, go to class. Tons of homework, but it counts in your grade so not so bad. I am talking here just like him. You get the message?

He is an intriguing teacher. A dull geek at points, but an interesting and passionate scientist at other points. The class is weak, as he is generally unclear. See him during office hours, and he is much less vague.

Dr. Preyer means well, but he has a really hard time explaining even the most basic of concepts. Things that i knew from previous classes somehome got muddled and confusing once he had tried to explain them. On the other hand he grades on a huge curve, but daily homework is a pain to do EVERY night and required attendence? for a physics class?

Presents material in unusually clear and logical sequences. Brilliant teacher. If you do the homework, which is graded regularly, and pay attention in class you will learn many new concepts which you can appply to other problems of this nature.

I like Dr. Preyer as a person, but his class is not great. He's not always the easiest to understand. Another downside (for me, but a lot of people like this) is that even though I have a good grade, I don't understand it. I prefer knowing and getting the grade.
