Took this class just to stay full-time because I dropped another one. Ended up being more work than expected since I procrastinated assignments until the end but the amount of work was reasonable and the grading became more relaxed.

RUS378 was based on russian films as well as history, pretty dry topics especially for a 6-9PM class. Dr. Mesropova was very energetic and enthusiastic about the topic and made everything very interesting to learn! She is very clear about due dates and expectations, and the tests and weekly papers/quizzes are easy if you put in the work.

I took this class online and there was no due date which made it stressful. However, it's very manageable if you don't wait until the last minute. She's a really easy grader and offers a ton of extra credit. Although it may seen like a lot of reading, if you just skim through the readings you'll be fine! 10 discussions & quizzes, 3 novel, & a paper

Great professor. A lot of reading and longer videos, but pretty interesting stuff. Quizzes and the final exam are pretty straightforward and the professor is a fairly easy grader on the discussions. Definitely recommend this professor!

Mesropova was one of the nicest and most caring professors I have ever had. She always gave really helpful feedback on any discussion posts and sent regular reminders to the class about deadlines. Her online Russ 375 class was a lot of work, but if you do it you will actually enjoy it. She is always rooting for her students to do well!

I really enjoyed taking her class. There are lots of readings, but not too bad for a literature class. No deadlines or required order of submissions, so you can work around your schedule. Quizzes are not that hard and there are extra credit points in each quiz. She is very knowledgeable, fair, and totally responds to any email within 10 minutes.

Ridiculous amounts of work required for a Humanities elective course. 3 huge novels, weekly quizzes (sometimes two a week). Grade consists almost entirely on a final paper, exam, and 3 novels you have to read.

She is one of my favorite proffesors at ISU. I went into this class interested in learning a 3rd language and right after declared a Russian minor. She is fantastic. Participate in class and don't save your workbook for the night before the tests, it takes awhile to do!

Speaks very fast, doesn't write on board, ppts are mostly pictures, doesn't make power points available until a couple days before the exams. Readings aren't available very far in advance. Exams are pretty easy - mix of mult choice, short answer, and essay.

She is the best professor I have ever had. There are a lot of tests so you don't have to know too much information and she goes over what exactly is on each test the day before so it is very easy to get an A on all of the tests. I didn't get below a 91% on any of the tests and it is very easy to get 100% on the homework. She is seriously the best!
