Miss Vienna gave me hope that I could succeed as a writer. She was honestly the most caring and understanding professor I've met. The expectations are basic she wants you to be in class, participate and respect her. I wish she taught English 120 because I would take her class again. If you are deciding which Professor to take, I recommend her :)

This professor is a real gem. She is very kind and caring. She helps you to succeed. I took two semesters with her English 98 and English 101. She prepared me so well that I got an A in English 120. Really, she is very good and I highly recommend her if you want to succeed later in English 120. You will enjoy her class!

Comment:

Writing essays is hard for me. I 'am not as one would call a skillful writer and writing any paper takes me awhile. This instructor taught me not to second guess myself and not to procrastinate. I elected to stick it out to this class because Dr. Vienna gave me a hope that I could be a better writer. And now I really am! Thank you, professor!

This professor is awesome! Very intelligent and knowledgeable! She has a light European accent and I like it. She will teach you the critical thinking skills and argumentative writing. I needed it and I am very grateful that I took her class. Highly recommended!

Shes very close minded.. If you disagree with her she gets noticeably defensive. her accent makes it hard to understand her, and she doesnt really explain things well at all (which unfortuantely may because of her language barrier and out of her control) . Good Luck.

This class promotes the honest debates and it allows students to open up to opposing views. The topics are challenging, but very interesting and informative. I was really able to strengthen my writings and researching skills throughout the semester. The professor was amazing! She has so much knowledge to share and is always helpful!

She has plenty to offer in terms of knowledge. But a lot of the time you ask her to clarify, she becomes impatient with a defensive tone. she has given us 0 feedback on the 3 writing assignments we have turned in and then expects us to write a 6-7 page research paper based on religion. I Dont recommend her if uve been out of school a while.

This was my first semester back at school and I was so nervous that I would fail and drop the class. I am glad I stayed because I learned a lot. I feel a lot better about grammar and vocabulary. I found myself using the vocabulary I learned as well breaking down the root words. I feel very confident about writing essays. Highly recommended!!!

I feel that overall my essays have improved, together with my critical thinking skills. I learned how to recognize problems, identify the author's purpose, and discuss the main claims and sub claims. Before this course, I had a hard time forming a solid claim for my papers. Now I can write so eloquently, the king would be flattered!

During my time in English 110 with Dr. Vienna, I have learned a substantial amount of Information. Many of the essays that were designed to us primarily consisted of important world issues. It takes time and understanding, and like most things in this life, it takes a good teacher. I feel that I had a good teacher! I enjoyed the way class went in the assignments. I learned more about the Earth, Women, Politics, Human Rights, Media, and about Myself because of Professor Vienna's ability to teach and her passion for teaching.
