Def hardest class I've taken-100 times harder than org2,mcb3020,phy2053,phy2054!Didn't like his attitude to students&he could have taught much better.Didn't care about org1 students, likes the grad students.Tests are the most difficult of all org professors, def need 40 hrs a week to study for his class! Take MILES or Matson!STAY AWAY !!!!!

From what I have seen Otto is the best yet hardest Organic Chemistry teacher. You must work all the HW problems and attend class to do well. An A is defiantly achievable. As for the other comments here he is not rude he is direct!

I hate chemistry so I'm a bit biased, but this class was horrible. Nice guy...really nice guy & he totally knows his stuff. However, the tests were unbearble (too long, too confusing) I never attended his office hours, but I heard he was helpful.Oh and he wans't kidding you will need 10 hours minimum a week studying to do well!

I would take him again. If someone doesn't like him, then i don't know what more they're expecting. He's one of the few that actually teaches and eloquently conveys his material in such a way that we can understand.

First, i dont see what the big deal is about this guy. He is not that great. Second, the tests are very difficult and way to long for the time we have. I will take someone else.

The teacher is pretty cool, keeps you interested, and knows college students inside out. He wasn't kidding, first day of class, he says to set aside 10 hrs a week to study. you'll need it. Tests are long, so make sure to practice for time effiency, serious, i felt like i needed 3 hours to complete the 50 min exam. But don't stress too much, he curve

He is a great organic proffessor, he used to be a tutor so he teaches his students all the tricks he knows from tutoring. If you want to do well in Organic chem, here are the steps... 1) Outline the chapter before class. 2) do the hmwk 3) go to class 4) get supplement material like Organic Chem made easy. Do all that and pass for sure maybe an A

Towards the beginning of the semester, I would have said that he was one of the best professors I have ever had at UCF, but at the end he kind of just stopped teaching. It was disappointing, but he's still one of the better OChem teachers at UCF.

I thought he was a good teacher! He is very fair with grading and curves! You have to study a LOT, but it is organic chemistry! The tests are not multiple choice and you have to learn how to think conceptually. I would take him again!

Dr. P is one of those professors you hate while you are taking his class. His tests are hard because the material is hard. If you go on to Organic 2 with another professor (like I did) you will realize then how amazing and helpful Dr. P was. I'd take his class again in a heartbeat.

if you appear to be helpless he will do anything to assist you, but the moment you ego gets close to the size of his subdued ego..bam it is all over.take him & try to convince him he is god-he needs to hear it-i guess because he does not have any children and no one to look up to him.but if he was a father he would fail-maybe that explains his cats

The Best Professor at UCF. Go to his office hours and study hard. He teaches concepts unlike the other Organic teachers which are all about memorization. I would recommend him for any student taking any standardized test for graduate school. If I got an A anyone can.

One word for him, inhumane. He does not care about your problems, about your reasons, he is a great teacher but he doesn't have any feelings. He says life is unfair; well he makes it worst. He is not easy. his test are really hard do all the HW he gets test problems from it. He is Horrible!

I'm sorry, I guess I just don't see what all the hype is about... I didn't think he was a very good professor at all. Those tests were insane, and I'm sorry I have bills and a life and couldn't devote every waking moment to something as lame as Organic Chemistry.

Dr. P is awesome! Very tough tests, but possible to do well if you keep up. DO NOT wait until the night before to study, try to do all the homework. Organic is not an easy course. You can not slide by, without legitimately working your butt off!
