Probably the rudest professor I have ever come in contact with. If you ask for help, he WILL make you feel stupid or less of a human when simply asking a question. Not a good personality. Only took the class for graduation requirement.

quizzes are super easy but assigns a 20 page paper on a country he assigns you. The information for the paper has to come from youtube, easy for some countries but not easy if you cant find a video in english/translatable or even long enough. So if you take this course start on the paper right away.

Comment:

Amazing professor who will indeed make you laugh! He has amazing stories and doesn't recommend that you attend class. If you actually talk with him one on one, you get a better feel of how he grades and what he expects and wants to interact with his students as much as possible. Take this class! He's great!

He is an easy teacher. You have 4 online quizzes and an online final that are easy. You do have a 20 page paper on a country that is due by the end of the semester. He likes to talk a lot about his traveling and is funny sometimes.

This instructor prides himself on his website which is very unorganized. Quiz questions included jokes he made in class so that you could only answer if you went to class. The first day of class you get a country assigned to you and you are required to write 15 pages about that counties policing. The strangest teacher in the whole department.

Outstanding prof who is now the head of the dept. So long as you attend and make a legit effort at keeping up and participating in class you can get an A. However, he does tend to drift sometimes but will usually get back on track after a few stories.

The class overall was easy. I missed all three pop quizes, but took advantage of turning in the class paper early getting 50 bonus points .. and ended up gettting a B in the class. In general, the class ISNT impossible. If you go everyday and pay attention you can get an A, if you dont go, you can end up with a B. Whats better than that?

Lectures can be boring, but that's the subject matter. He tells a lot of stories, and gets off on tangents regularly, which is fine by me. Tests are heavily based on lecture, which he summarizes almost word for word on his website. Recommended.
