I DON'T RECOMMEND TAKEN HER. We have been working on the revisions together and she was saying your papers are great and you probably would get a high grade on them. one time at the end of the semester, she told me that I'm standing on a high AB. Surprisingly, I got a C in the class.

Dr. Crank is fantastic. She is very flexible, caring, helpful- just a kind human being. I would definitely take her again. She's the best. 4 essays, 3 are graded, and you can revise them all with her feedback. Nightly homework but it's simple. 10/10.

I did not like her as a professor at all. I found her classes very boring. She was not helpful when I did not understand something. Also, I revised each of my papers four times with her revisions and still received a B/C. I don not recommend her at all!

Comment:
Dr. Crank was not a helpful professor, and she was judgmental of any student who didn't immediately "get" what she was trying to explain. She'd go so far as to tell students that perhaps English Education isn't the major for them, and she would put you down if you ever tried to go in for help during office hours. She shouldn't be a professor at UWL

Dr. Crank is phenomenal. Perhaps a lot of reading, but you'll always get something out of it. In your writing, you can have any opinion as long as you back it up with evidence (strong thesis, ex. from book & is organized). She heads the Writing Center and the staff are excellent! Your writing WILL improve.

I could not recommend Dr. Crank enough! She really knows how to make writing enjoyable and the whole course is a learning process. A lot of Friday classes are cancelled, also no tests/quizzes all semester. I absolutely adored her!

She is a very nice lady and interested in what she does. I did not learn a whole lot from this class, but it was still worth taking. There is a lot of pointless memorization of grammatical terms, but the papers we wrote were interesting with a lot of leeway on topics.

I don't see how anyone can complain about her. I have taken her twice now and she is extremely helpful, yes there is a lot of homework but it's generally done to make you THINK about the material vs. just memorizing, something I wish more of my English classes did.

I think Dr. Crank is a GREAT professor! She is extremely nice and explains the material really well during class discussions. If you keep up with the simple weekly assignments and readings you'll do fine. I would definitely take one of her classes again.

Awful teacher, her comments are not helpful and she gives a TON of homework (don't bother taking more than 12 credits if you take her class), so if you like homework and getting bad grades take Crank

This class is time consuming but it is just busy work. there are journals or inclass writing due in class everyday but she drops the three lowest scored in both, so you can miss up to six days, although i wouldn't recomend it since everything on the tests are from class discussions. We had two tests in the class, one take home. We also had afinal

She's a great professor! Just do the work, hand in your stuff and you'll be fine. Only negative thing is that you should take her point of view or you'll be docked points.
