This Maha-Raja of India almost turned me off to math becuase of his huge ego and crappy personality. I just focused on the math and ignored his personaility quirks to get the grade I needed. 2 Phd's = Big Head

Went to all classes but hated it. Didn't learn anything from him. Had to teach myself everything. Writes small on board teaches at a extremely face paced and if he calls on you and you dont know the answer he will insult you in front of the class. Thought he was rude to some students. If you do bad on a test he will tell you in front of the class.

class consists of quiz once a week, 1 midterm and one final. Sometimes his stories can be sort of funny but he wastes a lot of time. If you're a visual learner don't take him. He is also very lazy and grades however he WANTS to grade you. I don't recommend him at all. He'll tell you one thing about how he grades and do another. NOT RECOMMENDED

This professor knows his stuff and it's easy if you can follow his pace. The only problem is that he is very biased. If you stick out in any way, he will pick on you for the rest of the quarter. Homework is optional and there is a quiz every week, but the problems are pretty straightforward.

His favoritism affects your grade (cannot be stressed enough). At times, he can criticize students openly. His grading scale is strange; students with the exact same test scores earn different grades. He is definitely one of the most educated math professors, but his approach to teaching is what really makes him not so good.

This is one of the most BIASED math teachers in csula! He rarely writes on the board, he believes telling stories and him solving problems in his head while praising indian mathematics will teach you. You have to learn the material on your own,people that got A's on ALL their previous classes didnt pass this class TRUST ME, AVOID! dont risk ur gpa

at first, i thought the class was guna b hard looking at all the comments made here. but it seemed as tho all the math 580 students gave me such a bad impression of him in the beginnin. i actually find all his work pretty easy. on the tests and quizzes, the probs are easier than the hw probs assigned. my HS calc class was so much harder than this

This is the first professor since my 9th grade year(5 yrs ago) that is just really great at teaching. He forces you to learn and stay on your toes by involving students and asking them questions. He's hard because he's real-the world isn't easy! He does go off subject but it keeps you relaxed, not stressed, and he doesn't fall behind in the course

He is a hard teacher but only because he expects a lot out of his students. He really knows math and is very clear but I recommend going to his office hours. He can be very intimidating but he's really not once you get to know him. I didn't pass the class because I didn't study hard enough but I would take him again. If you want to learn take him.

He rarely used the board and recommended books to study that were not available anywhere. He was condescending with students. He spoke highly of his culture and demeaned that of America. He was helpful during office hours, but very preachy. I would not take him again and I would not recommend him either.

i loved him. he was one of the best professors i ever had and i learned so much from him. he had a way of explaining things that made them so incredibly clear, it was amazing. he's an excellent professor, a little indimidating but once you get used to it you will learn so much from him!

I believe he does not know the material which he is teaching. He one time said that a proof a student submitted was incorrect, even though it was copied from a textbook by an authority in the field. He also bantered on about nonsense in class.
