Comment:
I am not terribly good at math and considering my horrible experiences in the past with math teachers I was a little scared for this class. Pam tells you on the first day that she won't do math unless it's absolutely necessary. Great professor, great class. 3 exams, non of them cumulative and neither is the final. Show up and do the homework.

Her lectures are extremely organized and thought out. Everything you do in class and for homework helps you learn the material. She treats students like adults, but will also do anything she can to help you succeed. I was terrified when I learned that I had to take statistics, but she made it one of my favorite classes somehow. Truly amazing.

Took this class as a junior, and though I don't usually do well in natural psych classes, the content she lectured was easily accessible, she made it fun and interesting, and I've used everything I've learned on multiple other classes!

UGHHH am sitting in class literally in pain right now. As a senior, this information is so so incredibly basic (i.e. difference b/w hyperpolarization and depolarization). 3 weeks in and have known every single piece of info..... Pam is so sweet and so nice. I just wish BAD that I had taken this as a freshman. Neuro majors!! Take this class early!

Really nice teacher overall, but DON'T BELIEVE HER when she says Stats isn't hard if you're not good at math. I literally bombed everything and if it wasn't for the lab I would have failed the class. I think Stats is just a hard class, but she's a great professor to talk to if you need anything and is always willing to help.

I'd taken statistics before this course, but Prof Hunt explained the concepts that I wasn't sure about in a manner that was incredibly easy to understand. She also sets very good exams that really test your understanding of the concepts rather than rote memorisation. Labs are boring, but it's not her TA's fault that learning how to use SPSS is dry.

If you have to take psych stats, take it with PAM. As long as you know how to use the formulas you go over in class, you're golden for the tests. I recommend attending every class just for understanding, but other than that, it's an easy A. The lab is a bit of a waste of time though.

Pam Hunt is the best professor I've had at W&M. The way she lectures is so engaging that I'm actually becoming interested in stats despite hating math. She provides a formula sheet for tests and expects minimal memorization or calculations. She is incredibly fair and accessible, and you leave really understanding the concepts. take her class!!

Pam is great! Always very prepared for classes and makes math a lot more interesting than most of the professors I've had before. Tests are not very easy. The definitions might be confusing, but other than that the contents are basically all from in class materials. MAKE SURE TO SHOW UP IN CLASS cuz that's everything you need to do.

Really enjoyed Physio Psych (especially the last third of the class) even though the harder science side of Psych is not my favorite. Engaging lecturer, presents the material clearly, always available during office hours, super kind and respectful - Professor Hunt has it all. 1010 would recommend for Physio and Stats.

Professor Hunt is the best! I was a bit nervous, since its a 4 credit class, but she was engaging, helpful and always a blast in lecture! I am taking her for physio psych next semester and I cannot wait! I will say though, the exams are very straightforward, but an A is a 94-up so don't slack, an A is extremely obtainable!!

Awesome teacher. Explains everything very well and prepares you well for her exams. If you need PYSC Stats, take it with Pam. Highly Recommend. Only complaint is that her exams have a lot of multiple choice that can really hurt your grade if you get them wrong

Statistics with Professor Hunt is great. I mean, how can you make a bunch of formulas and data interesting? She does it! Class is super easy and fun. Tests aren't hard if you study. If you're taking Psych Stats, you should take it with Professor Hunt.

Pam is wonderful! She's super sweet and really understanding. She truly cares about her students and wants them to do well. Her lectures can be a little slow, but that's because she's straightforward and clear with everything. I'd definitely recommend her to anyone taking stats, especially those who aren't so math-inclined.

This class is harder than it seems. A lot of us ran out of time for finishing some of these exams. Information is easy, the exams are difficult to finish in 50 minutes. However, Pam is as sweet as can be and quite approachable. I'm glad I took the class with her.
