At first, she seems very timid, but she's a lovely person who genuinely cares about her students. Gives great feedback and helps as much as she can. She clearly enjoys what she teaches. Whoever said she's a tough grader -I think you're the problem, not her. I got B+ or A's on all my papers with her and it wasn't that hard at all!

She is a wonderful lady, after receiving a c+ on our first paper, a grade that did not sit well with me, I went and saw her and discussed ideas. Our next paper came around and I received a c+ again, and the final time I went and saw her and a tutor to only receive another c+. She truly is a nice lady, but does not account for people trying

She really is a wonderful and caring person, but I just didn't enjoy the class (was only taking it for the written requirement). There were quizzes in class but as long as you read you'll be fine. Gives lots of feedback on written material and is always willing to meet with students. Don't buy the texts, it's all online.

Best professor I have had so far. Very interesting class, loved how she provided more than one perspective. Also, she makes herself available to you if you ever need help or want to go over a paper. Cannot stress how amazing this class was! It's a shame she doesn't teach more classes!

Take her class if you like reading 18th century gothic romance novels. My only "I wish I didn't take her class" thought was that we read romance focused novels rather than gothic mythos. She is a great lecturer and she understands that the students may sometime need extra time. She saved my grade by giving me some extra day. Plus, she is hot.

Pamela Perkins is fantastic! She loves her subject and is extremely knowledgable. She takes an interest in her students and learns names. She tries to get everyone involved in discussion and gives excellent advice on how to write and improve a paper (if you make the effort to ask for help). She is my favourite English prof. Marks hard, but fair.

Decent content to course. Class discussions were tedious, non-engaging. Tried hard to participate but discussion was very elementary to details of scene selections. Class is simple-minded easy, papers are ridiculously difficult to score an A. getting a B is framable. Take caution if selecting this course. She is pleasant, and helpful though tuff

Very hard marker. Favors breadth over depth. We covered so many works that I didn't feel I got a lot out of any. Very dull. Tons of reading to a point that her expectations are out of reach. Fairly helpful if asked, but not very clear about assignments. Nice but awkward.

Hard, hard marker! Worked my ass off on my papers and got a C and a C+ on them. So prepare for that. Her lectures are also pretty boring and she always goes over the class time. She's not an awful prof but I wouldn't recommend her either.

She knows her stuff, don't try and test her because she will know when, where and how just like that. Hard marker but she has very helpful advice. Attendance a must but when you accept that the classes arn't that bad to sit in. You can read the textbooks only and still pull off a B+ I honestly didn't try and crushed the final too.

unbelievable memory for names and faces -- i'm convinced that she will never forget any student, ever. very knowledgeable and encourages class participation. seems uncomfortable with public speaking sometimes, but shouldn't be, since we all had a lot of respect for her.
