Dr. Chandras courses are tough, but he does care about his students and really does want his students to succeed even if it doesnt seem like it. Watch out for the quizzes and always be prepared for class.

I know he is very tough. But a very good person at heart and that is the way a course has to be taught. If everything you learn in a University is a spoon feed What's the worth of becoming an Engineer? Best Thermal Professor ever. If you are complaining about him, simply says you are letting yourself down in a competition

His tests usually consist of 2-3 problems. 1-2 will be kinda straight forward like the homework he assigns, while the last problem is something he hasn't taught us yet. If you ask questions he makes you look stupid. Go to his office, he never actually answers your question. He's overall a jerk. Everything I have learned has been self taught.

Chandra is a horrible teacher, and it doesn't help that his accent is so thick you can't understand him anyway. The only good thing about his class is that he is easy and forgiving. He has a lot of quizzes so get ready, but he will replace some test questions with quizzes sometimes. Also his tests are straightforward.

I don't care what any of the other reviews say. Probably one of my favorite courses I took. Sure he can be an ass, but he is a really good teacher. Sorry he doesn't spoon feed you everything. His class is challenging but you learn something. Probably one of my favorite mechanical engineering teachers.

Honestly, one of the worst professors I've ever had. He moves very fast through the material based off his own notes and hardly uses the book. Encourages you to ask questions in class, but if you do he will try to shame you. Have a question? Don't bother going to his office, he will not help you there. Instead he'll yell at you for not knowing.

Tough class. He covers about 70% of what is on the tests. The rest had to be learned from the book. Homework problems are a must. Don't expect his class to be easy or his test question to be straightforward. The only way he likes you is if you do well on his tests. Also, several test questions are from the questions in the book.

Horrible person in general. Made one funny comment during first class. The rest of the semester was spent telling people they were stupid and asking why we were in the class. Ask a question, get a funny face and a "That's how you do it, it's easy. Why don't you know it? You should drop the class." Go to his office, funny face and nothing changes.

Not only is he a bad teacher but he is a bad person. Have a question? Why are you in this class. Don't understand something? You're stupid and are slowing the class down. Need to talk to him during office hours? You are wasting his time. Never have I had a worse teacher.
