A professor definitely worth taking. He might talk a bit fast, but he's to the point and very practical. No book use and no final, even had a class pizza party! Haven't had one of those since middle school. Take his class and participate. Felt bad my classmates were dull as heck. He deserves better.

Great professor, intelligent and fun. He is knowledgeable about the English language, and does an excellent job of making a dreary subject entertaining and thought provoking. Easy to relate to, and he has a good handle on what it is like to be a college student.

Pat is the coolest teacher I've ever had: made a bad time slot (T/Th until 4:05 PM) engaging & funny. Flexible on due dates/assignment criteria! Sing if you're late! Had the typically fashionable political/social sensibilities of an academic, but was the one teacher in college to mostly keep them to himself.

Pat is an amazing prof. Class was always fun and interesting. The class is not difficult at all. He doesn't require you buy the textbook either. There are more assignments when he teaches compared to other professors, but it is 100% worth it. Take this class from Pat if you have the chance. Warning: You have to sing if you are late.

Only thing that might be bad is he takes attendance. Otherwise he's as laid back as they get. His example of a sample thank you letter is a letter he wrote to a jack in the box, thanking them for providing "beef and bacon goodness."

By far, one of the coolest and easiest professors to talk to. Im a senior now and took this class back first semester sophomore year. I even had the highest grade in the class, and believe me, thats no typical of my academics! ;)

He often finds ways to bring the most mundane and superficial of topics into meaningful dialogue with the theoretical issues we talked about in class. This was a course on Enlightenment uses of profanity, and he f***ing rocked.

Great teacher. Holds interesting lectures. Many papers, but they are pretty easy and he grades very fairly. 402 is a required class that most people do not want to take, but Pat made the class fun. I reccomend this teacher to anyone that has to take 402.

Patrick Johnson was by far the best professor I ever had! He devoted an entire lecture to the use and purpose of profanity. If a professor like this can't keep your attention you're probably dead.

One of the funnest profs I've ever had. He's big on group activities and he'll tell a joke in middle of lecture if students are getting bored. He gives a lot of assignments, but they're easy and he grades more than fairly. No exams when I took this class.
