Comment:

Very helpful. Held two study sessions outside of class to help prepare us for midterm and final. Would sometimes tell pointless stories, but overall good class. Pay attention in class, take notes, look over the lectures, ask questions, make your own study guides, go to review sessions if available and you'll be successful.

Very difficult to follow lectures, he rambles about things that are totally irrelevant to what we actually need to know, or what we'll be tested on. He uses really technical terms (then says we don't need to know them) that make things confusing. The readings he assigned us were from a book he didn't assign, and rarely from the book we had to buy

This was a fantastic class. Pat is a great professor. His lectures cover a lot of material but he keeps the class very engaged. Yes the tests are hard, but if you stay caught up on readings, attend class, and do a bit of studying you should be fine. Text book is a shortened version, super cheap and the readings are straight forward and not long.

Comment:

Pat is an excellent, hilarious, and passionate professor. This class was very early in the morning and he managed to keep me awake and interested which is always nice. The most difficult part of this class are the two exams. Get ready to put some serious time and effort into studying because it's a lot of information to take in and digest.

Pat may not have the most entertaining lectures, and his slides could use some work, but he is a super kind guy that is willing to go out of his way to help students when they need it. The class was super tough, and required a lot of outside studying for a 100 level class but he tried hard to improve when midterm score average was low. Great guy.

Patty Cakes is the best! He has a very unique lecture style, with a lot of pictures and stories, so make sure you go to class! Also attendance really affects your grade. He was awesome and got me excited about what I was learning. Definitely reccomend.

Don't let the 40% of your grade counted towards participation fool you - this class is tough! Showing up to lab and lecture is easy points, but the tests are TOUGH. You have to study A LOT and really pay attention at every point in lecture/while reading the textbook in order to do well. He doesn't curve, so good luck if you aren't a good test taker

Decent teacher overall, nice guy. This med phys class is almost all guest lecturers, which is good because Lombardi isn't always the most clear/engaging lecturer. Pretty easy for a 300-level bio, he definitely doesn't like to spend a lot of time designing or grading tests. Enjoyable class!

He really knows that material and is eager to teach it all. He loves to use pictures in slides which is great but also difficult if you do not go to class. Overall, it is a difficult class and he does a good job of teaching. Just expect to study a lot because he expects you to know the specifics and don't give good study guide material. Good Luck!
