Comment:

I took this online through DePaul and enjoyed it. It consisted of 5 multiple-choice quizzes, 5 essay quizzes (you write two big paragraphs), 2 postings each week, and a final research paper on a topic of your choice. You do have to do all the reading to do well, but you learn a lot from it. Pat was also very helpful and always available to chat.

Comment:

Took her online class and found it very interesting. She was very helpful detailed in feedback. Also quick to respond to emails. Coursework was manageable,easy to keep up with. Don't let it go to the last minute though,can be time consuming. Class consisted of discussion board posts, tests, and observation studies. Would recommend Prof. Puccio.

Comment:

She is a great teacher but online coursework was heavy. Minimum weekly discussion boards, 3 case studies and 4 exams. Exams were long and tough - heavy use of text. Case studies scrutinized for grammar and APA style. Offers extra credit and dropped case study. She is positive and responsive. Expect to work but not too difficult to get an A.

Comment:

Would not suggest taking online class with her unless you plan on this being your ONLY class. She gives specific dates for every post, exam, etc. and I have a job and 3 other classes. Ex: If I can't post in discussion board by Mar 3rd by midnight my grade gets lowered. Wish I'd looked at this site beforehand. I wouldn't be in this situation.

I took the online class. Syllabus was straightforward. There are 4 units, and everything is explained upfront. There are 3 observation studies, but she drops the lowest score. Tests are about 50 questions, and 1hr 15min to take them. She is a fair grader. I would recommend taking her class.

I took the online psychology class (8 week course). It was a lot of information to put into such a small amount of time, but it was manageable. There is 1 quiz, 1 exam, 1 journal, 1 assignment, and 1 other misc. thing to per unit and there were 5 units (however the first intro unit was not worth as many points). Good class

Professor Puccio is a decent teacher. I took her online Psychology course, it was strait forward and easy to understand, however the online exams on average take 1-2 hours. In my opinion they're a little long for an online course. She is a tough but fair grader. Don't take her unless you want to major Psychology.

Great professor, truly cares about her students. Took her class online. Just do all the reading, and post your discussion posts. 3 or 4 case studies. All managable if you stay on task. Tests were right from book. Pat was always available to help you at any time. Great experience.

Had to laugh at some of these posts. Not sure what class you took but I took her class online (summer) & thought it to be very intense. 4 case studies, exams, & 3-4 weekly postings. Wish I checked this site before I took this class on-line, would of done the classroom!

Comment:

Professor Puccio's class was very easy. I escaped getting a 102% and didn't even attend all of her classes. She spends a lot of time talking about her personal life, but then again, that makes it even more interesting. I would've liked to learn a little bit more. The end of my class was rushed, but overall good class.

I'm currently in her Intro to Psych. Take her class if you want an easy A, but not if you actually want to learn something. She spends more class time talking about Dr. Phil than the subject matter, and glosses over many important things. My high school Intro to Psych class was tougher. For an intelligent student, extremely disappointing.

Comment:

Took her over the summer online and got an A. She was pretty nice and usually available via email. She seemed to be a fair grader, and the tests were fairly easy..questions taken straight from the text. There were 4 exams, 3 case studies and a handful of postings due every week. She was fair and if you like internet classes, I would recommend her.

Took class online (summer) reading was interesting, but the work was an overload, 3 case studies 4 pretty hard tests, and 4 -6 "quaility posts a week" would not recommend if you want to have a life outside this class.

GET THIS TEACHER!! She is very flexible with everything and has given out extra credit more than once. Very nice and has a great sense of humor. Her lectures really help you do well on tests. You may fall behind in lectures but she wont test you on what you havent learned yet. If you like psych & will read you will do very well in her class.
