She is the type of teacher you can picture with a yard stick pounding on a students desk taunting them for an answer, but she is very kind. She wants nothing more than for a student to pass, but you best respect her and the subject or else you will not like her. She is not a professor to get smart with. She will kick you out. Really good TEACHer.

AN excellent, excellent instructor who is not in the business of nonsense and bullcrap. She is almost too good for such a poor school as UPT, but UPT is lucky to have her---and so are her students. Very strict, but in a good, caring way. I am poor at math and she worked with me until I "got it", and I ended up A Plus

She is strict but not unreasonable. If you respct her, she respects you. I am an older, non-traditional student. "kids" at UPT are rude and want to earn A's without going to class or working. Pat Wellman is here to help you if you want it, if not, you'll not do well and it's your own damned fault, not hers. Excellent teacher!

I was a little shocked about her personality, but the more she teaches me the more I tend to really like her. She is very helpful and as long as you respect her and her subject, you're fine.

Welldog! And I say that with affection. Ms. Wellman does not play around. Even in remedial math (I was a History Major so math is a foreign concept) she took it seriously and also made sure she was available for students. If you can buckle down and be serious about math then Ms. Wellman is for you.

I love her!!! She is seriously old-school with her style, and I love it. She weeds out all the whiney kids so we're left with serious students. She cannot be flattered, so don't try to kiss up. If she could get around better, she'd be smacking the class around with a yard stick.... That's a good thing.

She was alright. Gave bonus points for coming to every class. Helped me whenever i needed it. She was a little strict but as long as you didnt treat her like a highschool teacher she will treat you alright.

I would have never made it through math if it weren't for this teacher. I am not good in math but she walked me through this course. She taught it at my level which was beginners level. I recommend this teacher whole-heartedly.

Very fair and eager to help. Goes above and beyond the call of duty. Due to health issues, I could not attend 1/4 of classes, but she talked me through it on the phone and at her own home. Could not rate a teacher higher.
