I did not have a good experience with this professor. He is a nice guy, but for me personally, he was not that effective of a teacher. He spends too much time lecturing over the material and not enough time encouraging class discussion. He didn't make me excited or passionate about the readings. For some reason, we just didn't click. :(

One of the greatest teachers I have ever had. He had great ideas and thoughts. He loved hearing from the class. If you want an easy class that has a high school feel, take any of his classes. I think he is honest, stands by his word, and is very funny. My only complaint was that his room was very cold. Damn Stanley Coulter.

Patrice's grading policy is honestly not the best and he knows it. I ended up get a C in the course despite the fact I aced two of his exams and did well on most of the quizzes. He promised to look into my grade and still has not done so. Patrice does not stand by his word.

Great prof -- very enthusiastic and passionate about the subject material, which makes class much more entertaining. Also, he's not haughty and arrogant like many other profs, so he is very easy to talk to if you have problems or need help.

If you're interested in mythology at Purdue, take Keith Dickson's classes instead!!! He's more straightforward, more interesting, & you'll learn a lot more. Also, I once brought some concerns to Dr. Rankine & he ended up yelling at me for being "rude" & "disrespectful", just because I disagreed with his lack of concern for grade confidentiality.

A great teacher in my opinin. He always try to make the schedule work for the students, and not for himself (No final exams on final exam weeks!) His lectures are insightful, and class is usually entertaining. He's very passionate about the subject(s) he teach, and thus quite knowledgeable. He's a professor that you could easily talk to.

Patrice is one of my favortie teachers at Purdue. Hes a balst to have a class with and he makes it entertaining, i think that if you have the chance you should try to get into his class too.
