Comment:

She's condescending, will decide she knows what you are saying before you say it--and that you are wrong. She thinks she can effortlessly understand the whole world and that everyone else is just silly compared to the august "professor" of art at an engineering school. I learned much more from the textbook than from her.

I had zero interest in the subject matter before I took her class. She makes the subject very interesting! Yes, her tests are difficult, but study well and you'll do fine. Of course she expects you to attend class. You're in college now. Grow up. Zero homework, just in class notes. Grades are on exams only.

Attendance is big in her class, she does notes by hand and projects them onto a screen, she has awful handwriting and it is hardly legible. She also isn't a ton of help when you ask her, and she tends to think she knows more than she actually does.

Took are Survey with her.I think she is a great teacher. Past students' reviews weren't being fair. Of course you have to study hard for the test, but that's it. She will tell you EXACTLY what is on the test, so don't worry :) Her weird accent threw me off, but once you get used to it, you're golden. GREAT TEACHER!!!!

Comment:

Teaches Art History I, II, III, V. This is not an easy A class, if you want that take Art Survey. If you read the book and ask questions you won't get below a B. For the upper level classes, no tests only papers. These are much easier if you are a good writer. Linda is very smart and very passionate. Don't be afraid to ask her to repeat things.

Extremely flighty, completely unorganized, notes are beyond terrible and she's crazy on top of it all. She loves her subject like no other but cannot teach it. Studying for tests is terrible- you never know what to study and what not to study! I consider myself a good student and had a really hard time in her class. Go for Crazy Carole instead.

Her fake accent is annoying and every comment she shares with you doesn't help. When she criticizes your work she will smile at the end of it as if it wasn't rude. If you have her drop immediately because you will have a better chance understanding the material if you were taught by an impregnated panda riding a gold jet skii with spinners.

The first thing I realized right away about Linda is her passion for the subject of art history. You don't see that kind of enthusiasm that much in professors anymore. She does cover a lot of information, so reading is a must! She doesn't take attendance, but if you miss classes all the time, chances are high that you're going to fail.

Liked her as a person. Very nice. Although, notes are very unorganized and hard to follow. Exams can be challenging. Your whole grade is made up of 4ish exams.No homework. Attendance is not mandatory.

Terrible teacher. She is very smart, but the notes she gives make absolutly no sence. No sence of where she's going, just every where. Not to mention they have nothing to do with what's on the test. Even when she tells you what to do study most of it still isn't on the test. Avoid her period!!!

Art history is a hard course to grasp. Have an intrest and pay attention. It is fun and exciting to see the different trends there are in art of the past, Linda is very smart and passionate about this subject and is a very fair grader, if you put an effort in she will too.

linda james is obsessed with the most usesless art, and pushes so heavily that "everything is abstract art" her accent changes every day, and she is so flighty and disorganized that going to class was like a freakin circus... and not a good one at that..

If you actually talk during class it's not incredibly boring. Interesting conversations about sexuality. Pay attention to what she writes on the essay you get back in order to correct it and do a good job on your final. Two long essays and four identification quizzes = your grade.

She is VERY knowledgeable about the subject (Modern Art). All you have to do is 2 papers in the class that is you whole grade ,but they are long. the class is pretty easy but incredibly boring. she cancels ALOT of classes (in the winter) Also he has a fake accent which is VERY annoying the first 2 weeks but you will get used to it.
