She helped me a lot throughout the semester, but it seemed like small mistakes on papers would severely hurt your grade. Some of her assignments were hard to understand as well. Would not suggest taking.

I wouldn't recommend this teacher to anyone as she is very unforgiving with her late assignment policy which results in a zero for being late. As well on top of that you must turn in all assignments or you fail her course regardless if late which makes no sense if it is late anyway you get a zero which makes you fail the course anyway.

Tricia's a great professor. Probably one of the best I have had. She is easily to approach for help or tips and really wants to see her students do well. She's also great to just sit down and talk to. You have to put in effort to pass with an A or B. Fair grader. Would recommend.

Easy A. You have to read for each class but many of them are fairly short. Two papers, 3 tests, and a group project. All very easy. This was actually my favorite class by the end of the semester and the reading was all interesting (which is weird because I hate reading). Just do the reading and talk in class, it'll be the easiest class you tak

Very nice professor that makes sure you learn something at the end of the semester. Lots of writing assignments and a bit much at first but overall an easy class with some effort needed. very straight forward with what she wants and it is fairly easy to get a B in the class

Not too hard of a class. A lot of writing assignments though. Fair grader. Not too difficult to get an A or B as long as you put some effort in

Awesome teacher. Keeps class interesting with good discussions and thought-provoking topics. Have to read & write a journal for each class (can miss up to 5). The stories are really good and journals are easy. Plus, all exams are open note and you can use your journals and all other notes. 2 essays (easy) and 1 group presentation. Loved this class!

If you have nothing to review, you won't have class. Fair grader. The textbook is very helpful. She'll make you learn on your alone a lot by referring you to the book, websites, or things on Sakai. I'd recommend taking her.

Easily the best english teach I've had. I'm an engineering major and hate writing, but Dahlquist help's you approach it from a practical standpoint. You realize how its important to your career, and she helps you develop your abilities well. She's always available to help, very helpful reviewing your resume, and nice to just sit down and talk with.

Dahlquist is a great English professor. If you are a clear and professional writer, you should receive a good grade in the class. I learned a lot from her about professional writing, and she was available and open to answering questions and helping me with my papers. She is kind of funny if you pay attention to the small side comments she makes.

She dishes out a lot of tedious repetitive work for her technical writing class. You will learn a lot on how to write resumes and cover letters however, and it's for your own good. But her workload was just ridiculous. Stay on schedule and you'll do fine though.

You need the book and you have to write a journal response to each reading, but she gives you 4 freebies in case you miss class. She was good a starting discussion and very enjoyable to teach. Should be an easy A. All tests are open note.

She is just a great person. Very, Very talkative. There is no need to have your book, its better to just borrow it from someone in class. She is always willing to look at your paper before it is due and she is just so nice that I wish I could take another class with her. Just have your paper don when it is supposed to be and you will be fine.

Take her. Discussions are awesome if you had a responsive class like I was in. Journals got monotanous, but were easy. Tests weren't bad; an essay at the end though so watch your time. We had an assignment where a group of students had to teach the reading for the day to the class... it was not bad at all. I strongly recommend her.

Class mostly consists of discussion about the readings. You have to write a journal about each selection prior to each class period, though, and that can get old. Tests aren't bad, especially since you can use your journals on them. This class is pretty easy, but it's also very thought-provoking. A great teacher, I'd definitely take her again.

The class is well put together and I would recommend her to everyone needing to take the class. It is a fairly easy A, but you stay interested in what's going on. I would switch to an English major if I could have her as my professor for every class.

class is an easy A. she's not very picky about essays or papers and she's very open-minded about other people's insight to the stories. a few stories are slightly boring, but overall it's a well-planned out class that you can get an A in despite the minimal work load

Lectures are boring and you should know most of what she says already because it's common sense. Papers are a little bit of work but not hard, expectations are clear. Definitely share a book with someone, it's worthless but you need it occasionally.
