Honestly she is a nice professor but in my opinion she made the class much more difficult than it needed to be. Lectures were difficult to follow in terms of what we need to know for the exam. Lots of info but she doesnt specify what we should focus on. Open note exam, but super difficult. She has a high standard for her students, unnecessary imo

Dr. Hill is a fine lecturer, presenting interesting and relevant examples of historical content. Her course structure is VERY organized. You will know exactly what needs to be accomplished throughout the semester on the first day. Dr. Hill makes it very easy to dive into the content immediately, and is an advocate for your success in the course.

I read like 5 books. was accountable for reading them. Her class is organized in a way that makes you feel like you discovered something. Take her class if you are here to learn. Do not take it if you dont want to work or dont have time.

I'd say the amount of reading she assigns is just about right. I love how she interjects personal stories into her lectures -- they're relevant and interesting. This is a great class. Take it, you'll learn a lot.

Organized lecturer, but spends too much time talking about her personal life and random stories from her childhood. She came in late to the final exam, then spent 15 minutes talking about her plans for summer which was annoying. Good class, very demanding, a 12 page midterm to be written in 2 hours, a paper, a final, and 3 or 4 reading quizzes.

Prof. Hill is a very organized lecturer. But her tests are too demanding-there are too much reading required and you have to do all the reading to pass the class. Her midterm is writing 6 pages (front and back!) in 1h 15m. She doesn't use a textbook so you have to come to class everyday. Nice and informative teacher but too demanding.

Fun teacher.. Interesting lectures, a lot of reading, but open book/notes tests. Reading quizzes are hard (not open book) but she has xtra credit. One of the better, more organized History professors, not full of herself or her agenda. Laid back, and yes, "easy on the eyes"

Made class worth attending. Although the majority of tests tend to be on SPECIFIC portions of reading so those really cannot be missed. A couple of videos and some interesting extra credit assignments were cool. VERY easy on the eyes for a middle ager.

She comes late and then talks about nothing for thirty minutes. A 1 hour and 15 minute class is really like 40 minutes. She is a pretty good lecturer, but her midterm was on the tougher side. She gives numerous reading quizzes throughout the semester so reading is mandatory. Extra credit is available.

It was an intersting class. Make sure you do all the readings and particpate in ALL the dicussions. You have on chance at extra credit and it is easy and really does help. She is hard because of the reading that you must do, but the class in general is fun, easy and you learn alot. I got an A+ and that says something!

She's by far the best lecturer I have ever had. She is well organized and makes the class interesting through shocking statistics and women's experiences. The discussions are pointless though and don't prove if someone read. Someone came in and didn't read but still got credit for participating in the discussion. She should improve on this.

Not bad looking for her age, kind of smiley. Tends to ramble on a lot and doesn't get to the point when she answers questions. Energetic but very opinionated and has an irritating habit of stopping in mid sentence to think of the longest word she can use to say something.

Very helpful and friendly, though businesslike. Keeps good control of class and discussions. Helps students be more precise and exact in their work.
