I came here prior to taking this American Art History class, and I saw a mix of positive and completely negative responses. The negatives seemed like hate mail of sorts. I can tell you now that if you need a humanity, DO NOT take this class. It is ridiculous, I got a D on the midterm and I am a good student. Wish me luck on this final Friday. ahh!

Best prof at BU! Incredibly knowledgeable about American art and always tries to make lectures interesting. It's really cool to have a prof teaching you about art from a scene she was personally involved in! Exams are cumulative, so study, but if you do the work you will do well.

She really knows her stuff, so you can't expect to bullsh*t papers or essays and do well. She does spend too much time talking at the beginning of class and then rushes at the end, which isn't very helpful. But, she was always available for more help. She has her faults, but she was still great.

This class makes me want to bang my head against the desk. She rambles and I feel I get more out of reading on my own than lecture. Speaking in front of large classes seems to be her weekness. A nice enough woman, she just needs to get her act together.

the class is interesting, but she is ridiculous. very unprofessional at times, especially during our final. not super bad, but not super good. talks slowly. lots of papers and field trips which are inconveinant and annoying and not during class time.

The best professor I've had at BU! She's incredibly knowledgeable on the subject matter. She's asks a lot of the students, there were about 250 slides to know for the exams plus info from the texts but if you take time to study you will do well.

Deducts points off your essays for grammar mistakes. 200+ slides to memorize for the midterm. She often picks famous slides, so just study the obvious ones. Tests are straight forward, either you know it or you don't.

hey now. This woman was the best prof. i've ever had at BU. First art history class ever and it was pretty easy I think. Prof. is a genius...wrote everything in art history. ALLs you have to do to get an A in this class is go to class: don't read.

Very disorganized, seems to not care about class, is often at conferences, leaving us in the hands of the TA. She just finished giving us a midterm much harder than a 200 level class deserves. Also forces you to go on field trips with no loss in classdays

She rambles a lot. She doesn't seem like she knows what she's talking about. No organization to lectures, too many field trips. Class is boring and it's hard to figure out what to take notes on. She is nice, but this class is not good.
