Professor Strong is the best English teacher I've ever had! Her assignments build upon each other throughout the semester so that by the time you have to turn in your paper you have already written a good 45ths of it. She is also the fastest grader! We would turn in papers and she would have them back by next class with actually helpful feedback.

Class was really easy. She broke the 15 page paper up into steps so it wouldn't be so overwhelming. She helped a lot when it came time to turn in the paper if you scheduled an appointment. I received an A. Overall pretty easy.

Best class I've taken at VCU. Best professor I've had at VCU. Yes, everyone says that all the time. Take this woman's class and tell me I'm wrong. You'll learn more about writing in four months than you have in your previous 15 years in the American public school system.

Amazing class; literally one of the best I've ever taken. Strong allows a lot of class discussion, provides interesting and eclectic resources, and is tough but fair in grading. Warning, though: be on time, to class and with due dates for assignments, and don't skip the class.

Patti Strong is absolutely amazing! She can seriously blow your mind if you ever get to listen to her talk about writing. She is incredibly sweet, always willing to help, and can teach you so much if you work hard. I didn't used to think English was anything special, but after taking classes with her writing and English became my world!

She is an awesome professor. I took her Peer Tutoring class not expecting to learn anything but boy, did she change my mind! Now I work for her at the WC. She's an amazing mentor. Just do the work and come to class and you should be fine. She's also very helpful so if you need guidance, just ask! Overall a REALLY good teacher!

prof. strong was a great professor, but i still failed the class despite my very hard work. Eng 200 is hell, but since we do have to take it, I would def recommend strong. make sure u pay attention to her comments. I felt like i was led to believe i was doing ok the whole semester and then she told me at the end i was in danger of failing

eng 200 is a breeze with mrs. strong. its a steady pace class with work but you never feel overwhelmed, shes unbelievabley helpful.if you want 200 to be easy and(considering all the work) rewarding..you have to take it with mrs. strong! i think it should be REQUIRED to take it with her.of course everyone dreads this class- you dont have to with her

Mrs. Strong was extremly helpful. She defintely made taking Engl 201 a lot more bearable. She will help you out if you ask and she makes everything so much easier. There is still a lot of writing to do, but she breaks it down so it doesn't seem like so much. GREAT PROFESSOR!!!!!!

Yeah, I was not looking forward to taking this class. Once I started though, it was not even close to horrible. Patty really will let you know what to do and how to do it. Just listen to all of her comments and really complete the assignments (don't just BS in other words). I will never write a paper the same way again. Mad props to PRStrong.

Stunning professor. Very helpful, challenging, fair, and interesting. I had no desire to take this class, but at the end, she almost had me change major to English. By the end of this class, you will be a better writer, guaranteed. Thanks again, Ms. Strong, for the best class I took at VCU.
