If you respect him, he will respect you. Be prepared to put effort in and your experience in the class will reflect that. I had so much fun in Webb's class, he takes a little bit to figure out but really catches you off guard by being intermittently hilarious. Really gives good crits and teaches content well, respectable. Amazing artist.

Patrick is by far the best professor I have had at Pratt. He comes off as very intimidating in the beginning but its becomes clear that he cares a lot for his students. He has inspired me to draw and even though im not a good technical artist because I am a photo major, he has helped me greatly and shown me what good drawing is, hes awesome (,:

Webb is my favorite teacher! He first appears to be harsh, but he isn't grading as harshly as you think. He gives you the opportunity to redo assignments for a better great. He is funny, caring, and only wants you to do well. Beware he doesn't really give A's, and if he does it wont be until finals. It doesnt matter though, because you learn a lot!

Professor Webb is funny and so very talented. At the first few weeks you will think to yourself that he is very harsh. But that's where you learn a great deal. He makes you work and work to the point where by the time the semester ends, you look back and see how far you've grown. He helps you out, and really understands your work. RECOMMEND.

SERIOUSLY THE BEST definitely one of the hardest drawing teachers for foundation year- he really pushes you and at first he may sound condescending but its all for a purpose! he's one of the special teachers at pratt that really care about the student's improvement- talk to him for advice or anything and don't ever be intimidated! helped me so much

Webb was the highlight of my freshman year! I've never been so motivated to do well in a class and I think it was mostly because of Webb's influence. Sure its a lot of work but if you work hard it'll pay off during critique. You'll like him if you actually want to do well, and if you don't, don't take him, you don't deserve him hes a gem lol

Patrick was one of the hardest professors I ever had, HOWEVER he was one of the best. I learned so much in his class. Yeah, some people have a hard time taking the tough love, but if you're not willing to be disciplined then you'll get nowhere in art. Truly a master at his art.

His class for foundation drawing DEFINITELY wasn't easy. You really have to work hard to get anything higher than a B-. He can be sassy and harsh with critiques, but if you try and talk to him and get on his good side it absolutely helps. I didn't always enjoy his class, he can be a real prick--but everything I learned made it worthwhile.

His critiques are very helpful. If you don't understand something he says, he has the patience to keep talking to you till you really get it. How a student likes his personality will vary, but there is no doubt in my mind that you won't come out of his class knowing SO much more than you did before about light, color, and design.
