Hands down my favorite professor at UI. I recommend him to all my friends. He's hilarious and I was never bored in any of his classes. I learned a lot. He does grade pretty hard on the papers he assigns (usually 3-5). He rarely gives out anything below a C but it's hard to get an A. He tells you this on the first day of class in all his classes.

He is a wild ride of a lecture. He is full of energy which can help stave off boredom, but it can also make him confusing. He's not sensitive to telling you you're wrong when you speak up, get ready for that. And he told us straight up, "it's hard to get an A in my class." He's not forgiving when it comes to grading the three essays you'll get.
