Comment:

Worst class I've taken this semester. Kreps is boring, monotonous, and may love art appreciation, but knows next to nothing about art. There was one class where she kept saying green was a primary color. Plus, way too hard for a freshman WI class. The TA I had was also very strict and unhelpful when writing papers. Don't take any class with Kreps.

Comment:

Very easy class just so long as you attend class. I would go for the attendance points and literally fall asleep for the whole time. Then when the final and midterm came along, she gave the art pieces to you and I just spent some time googling them so I had something to say. So basically just do the work and you'll get a fairly easy A.

You basically get what you want to get out of this class. Professor Kreps clearly loves and understands art, but as this was "Art Appreciation" it was ultimately up to the students to get anything out of the class. She is quite interesting to talk to one-on-one as she can offer some interesting opinions beyond what she was able to say in lecture.

I am a senior, and this is the worst teacher I have ever had. That is saying a lot because I am a Biology Major and most teachers are quite boring, but she just puts pieces of art on the screen and rambles on with explanations about the artworks. This class however requires no attention if you are a good BSer

Art Appreciation was not too difficult of a class because I took my laptop with me and took notes everyday. The tests are not too bad if you study the tests that she gave you from the prior semester. However, she hates when you ask questions in class and can be quite scary sometimes when she gets mad. Overall, a good class though.

Class was not as easy as I thought. Notes are not organized, half of the time I was lost on what to right about. It is hard to take notes becuase spelling is difficult and she does not slow down.

she a nice person, she just doesn't seem to know much about the topic. it doesn't seem like she knows what she's reading about(her only form of "teaching") and she doesn't seem familar with the slides in her own slide show. it feels like she's "wingin it" EVERY day; she's not prepared. there's not much work tho and she tries to help if you ask.

I slept through a great deal of this class, I didn't study at all, I barely ever took notes, and I still managed to pull off a B. this class is insanely easy. IF you need to fill a credit, then take it, but MAKE SURE you do not take the writing intensive version of this class, becuase it sucks.

This class is easy. There are two tests (both multiple choice) and a few in class writing assignments. I went to every class. She kind of reads straight from her notes, but i liked looking at the art. if you're not interested in art you'll probably find this class extremely boring. she seems like she doesnt know what she's talking about, but

Lectures are very boring. Read - VERY boring. It doesn't help that she turns the lights out, so everyone is either sleeping or just not in class. Anyone that has any writing skills can do well on her tests and paper. She is horrible with technology; constantly yelling at one of her TA's to focus her projector every 5mins or so.

WI section has too much work for a freshmen level class, but the grading is not too hard. This was probably the most boring and pointless classes/lectures I've had in my 5 years at MU. I would not recommend taking the course. It is pretty much pointless to attend class after the first few meetings.
