Exams are just like mymathlab questions. Follow the review and always do the homework and quizzes. Her lectures and notes will help with some questions. She allows an index card of formulas for each exam. 3 exams with finals.

A LOT of hw in mymathlab, quizs are short 5 q's. only 5 points extra credit in which you have to complete a 30+ question review with EVERY work shown. lectures are long and dont correlate. review IS NOT same as exam. other reviewers are not telling the truth lol. you get 1/7 if you answer correctly and dont show work. very difficult grader on exams

took her online. didnt online like her lectures but there's plent of stuff onine and the mymathlab walks you through how to do the problems. Her reviews are much harder than the test, and if you learn the review, you can pass the test. HWs are free since you have infinite tries. only got a B because I didn't do the hws, learn from my mistake.

I took a hybrid class; her lectures were awful. She relied on you learning NEW concepts on the online site, and used class time to answer questions from the online HW site. I think if these lectures were switched the class would be easier for me. She often skipped questions cause they were "too hard" but would want us to do them online by ourselves

Comment:

I really liked this class. The homework is doable, about 9-11 of them due every three weeks. Only three exams, including final. 13-20 questions on exams. She gives test reviews that are mirrors of the exam. It is a chill and very flexible class, I liked it. Only thing is she's not great with communication. You can have a cheat sheet on ex 2 & 3.

She was the best algebra teacher I've ever had! She explained how to do things very clearly, step by step and always had notes available on d2l. She even had the review answers at the study center so you could go get extra help while you checked your answers. The homework is there, you just have to put in the practice and you'll be happy as a clam!

Her lectures are really bad. She post the copy of the notes online, sometimes they are hard to read but overrall the class is organized. test was 45% final was 20% and hw and quizzes are 25%. The test are not super hard but she wants everything her way, if not, she will take lots of points even if you are right. Choose another teacher.

Okay professor, the homework & quizzes are all done on MyMathLab & you are able to take the quizzes up to 5times. She gives you the review & if you complete it & turn it in then you get 5points on the test. However, she is a tough grader, she will not give you credit if you do not show the work the way she taught u even if you get the right answer.

Mrs. Zachary online class wasn't too bad. She has reviews for exams but they are not 100% related to the test. You can submit reviews for bonus points. She does drop the lowest test grade as well. Personally, I didn't like her lecture videos, I mainly used YouTube and tutoring centers for help. Calculus isn't hard, you just have to practice.

Shes a great professor, the biggest reason why I gaver her a 2 is that she puts questions on her tests that are nowhere to be found on her review. Basically, her review guides are only solely for extra credit.

She talks so fast, I can barely even learn from her and if you miss one thing, she will not go back to repeat it, even if you have a disability like me. If you're sitting in the back of the class, you're better off learning from a math tutor than this class.

She has her notes ready to print on D2L, I used to print out the blank notes so I could keep up with her and write my own side notes. The tests are short but she tends to give partial credit if you show work. Class was easy in general but make sure you keep up with the homework.

I would most definitely take Mrs. Zachary's class again. She is a very good teacher and is always willing to help you. Just make sure if you're taking a hybrid, check to see if it is lol. She posts many videos online to help you, but won't go over it as in depth as in class.

After almost graduating from LSC and finished Calculus 1 and 2 I can say only one thing: Professor Patty Zachary is the BEST professor I ever had! She is amazing! Great video lectures and great personality. She made Calculus so easy. IF YOU TAKING CALCULUS YOU MUST TO TAKE PROFESSOR PATTY ZACHARY!!!!! TRUST ME

Absolutely an amazing Prof. She provides every oppty to do well in her class. She uses D2L to provide additional notes, test reviews and recordings of her lectures. She explains Algebra in a way that makes sense and uses every day analogies. I struggle with math and NEVER expected to make an A. Prof Z is an absolute MUST for this course!

I have struggled with math my whole life, I even had to take 0306-0310, professor Zachary was amazing though. I was actually able to receive a B in here class. She has all her notes up on D2L and if you do the review before the test and turn it in its worth 5 bonus points. 10 out of 10 one of the best professors I've ever had.

Great Prof that records her lectures & goes step by step showing you the process of how to get to the answer. Records almost all of her lectures with her tablet if you ask her to during class & posts it on D2L if you need to review it again. Do her reviews and you get 5 extra points on every exam the Final. Finish all online HW & don't skip class!

Comment:

Calculus is a challenging course. If you are willing to put in the work she can really help you understand Differential Calculus. Many examples given for each chapter. Unlike most math teachers she offers extra credit, and will allow a note card for formulas on the last two exams.

Honestly, I had the worst time trying to keep up with her. It was very difficult taking notes, because she would move on to the next section too quickly. I tried the recordings, but by then I was too frustrated.
